This film is very fine-grained, very sharp and the color balance seems perfect. I received it from Adorama promptly. I will re-order this film when I need more.

Everyone knows the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears...the heartwarming tale of a little girl who goes out in the woods, commits Breaking and Entering on a total stranger's house, and discovers a third of the things in the house are too much for her, a third are not enough for her and a third are just right. Fuji sends three ISO 100 transparency films into the US market: Velvia 100, Provia 100F, and this relabeled product. Velvia 100 is the Papa Bear of this transparent tale. The Velvia family has never been about subtlety. Quite the opposite, really; Velvias have an "in-your-face!" color rendition. They're great for vibrant landscapes and Times Square at night, but I wouldn't recommend trying to shoot portraits with them. Provia 100F? Definitely the Mama Bear. Provia is neutral almost to the point of boringness. It'll get you where you need to go, but it makes you feel like the first place you need to go is to the bottom of your camera bag where you've got that 81C warming filter stashed. It gives the feeling of the old pre-E-6 Agfachrome that was for pastel-loving European photographers. CT Precisa 100 is the Baby Bear - it's just right. It's not so intense as to dazzle. It's not so mild as to bore the audience. It would be great for portraiture, and it's pretty good for landscapes. The only way this could get better? Sell it in 120 format.

This is an exceptional E-6 Slide Film and pushes very well to ASA 200 It is much warmer than Fuji Provia 100F and just as fine grain with a more neutral less blue rendition in the shade or on cloudy days....... I used to shoot Kodachrome for Life Magazine and National Geographic and the Precisa CT 100 is somewhat reminicent of that look. If Kodak is really going to re-introduce an E-6 emulsion they might as well go for a 200 or 400 ASA speed film because they already have stiff competition from these two 100 ASA films.. They should just bring back Kodachrome 200 ! Ken Sherman
