After extensive research and development, Allen & Heath presents the AHM-64, a cutting-edge 2RU 64x64 Audio Matrix Processor with 12x12 Local Analog I/O. This advanced audio matrix processor is engineered for superior sound management and installation, making it an ideal solution for a wide range of applications. From corporate settings to hospitality venues, educational institutions to event spaces, retail environments to theaters, cruise ships to sports venues, the AHM-64 delivers exceptional audio distribution, paging, conferencing, and speaker processing capabilities.
The AHM-64 processor is the heart of an extensive ecosystem of remote audio expanders, remote controllers, interfaces, apps, and software. It supports a variety of proprietary point-to-point Layer-2 or Dante transport protocols, offering flexibility in setup and operation. The processor is equipped with 8x Automatic Mic Mixers, Ambient Noise Compensation (ANC), priority ducking, and an 8-band PEQ, dynamics, and delay on every input and zone for superior sound management.
This 2u rack-mountable digital matrix processor boasts 64 input channels and 64 output channels, all independently assigned, operating at a 96kHz sample rate and employing FPGA technology for digital signal processing. The system latency from analogue input to output is designed not to exceed 1ms, ensuring real-time audio processing.
Each input channel is configurable as mono/stereo and has access to any local or remote input. Output channels can be set as mono/stereo zones or as speaker processing outputs with 2, 3, or 4-way Crossovers. This allows up to 64 mono zones / 32 stereo zones, or any combination of zones and speaker processing outputs not exceeding 64 total channels.
The AHM-64 also offers a slot for optional processing modules including Acoustic Echo Cancellation. It supports playback of stereo or dual mono .WAV, MP3, and FLAC files, with internal storage for the audio files. The unit also provides a local SLink Ethernet audio expansion port, supporting multiple Audio-over-Ethernet protocols and providing access to up to 128x128 I/O.
The unit is equipped with 12 balanced inputs on pluggable Phoenix terminal blocks, each with independent gain control, a -20dB active PAD, and +48V phantom power. It also has 12 balanced outputs on pluggable Phoenix terminal blocks with a nominal level of +4dBu.
The AHM-64 is designed to save up to 500 nameable presets with descriptive text entries and up to 50 nameable events for scheduled recall of presets. It also allows the creation and storage of up to 32 user profiles, each with an editable name, password, and permission settings.
In conclusion, the Allen & Heath AHM-64 is a versatile and powerful audio matrix processor, designed to deliver superior audio management and distribution in a wide range of environments.
