This wall-mountable expander is designed to enhance your audio setup by adding remote Input/Output (I/O) capabilities. It comes equipped with 16 high-quality microphone preamps, each featuring independent Phantom Power LED indicators for easy monitoring. In addition to the preamps, the DX164-W also boasts 4 XLR line outs, providing a robust and flexible solution for your audio routing needs. The scalability of this device is impressive, with the ability to connect up to 6 DX164-W units to a standard dLive system - 4 via the MixRack and 2 via the Surface. This allows for an impressive 96 remote inputs and 24 remote outputs, supplementing the I/O provided by the MixRack and Surface.For larger setups, you can add up to 46 units to a dLive system via a DX Link card or DX Hub, offering a staggering 808 analogue inputs and 224 analogue outputs. The DX164-W connects seamlessly via a single Cat5e cable (Ethernet based Layer 2) to the dLive Surface, MixRack, DX Hub or upstream DX164-W / DX168 via a secure etherCON port. For added reliability, a second locking etherCON port is included for redundant connection to compatible hardware or for daisy-chaining to a downstream DX164-W or DX168 for additional remote I/O. The design of the DX164-W is not only functional but also versatile, allowing for wall mount operation or installation in a stage "Dip Trap", making it an ideal choice for fixed installations.
