This innovative module boasts PRIME Input Technology, offering an ultra-flat frequency response from 1Hz to 40kHz, and an impressively swift slew rate. Experience detailed, articulate audio delivered to your mix engine at the highest resolution, complete with a breath-taking transient response and full-range linearity.
Unlike conventional preamps that rely on AC coupled stages, the PRIME module features a DC coupled gain stage, effectively eliminating the low-frequency distortion commonly associated with AC coupling. This results in a significant enhancement in low-frequency linearity and phase response. This unique design necessitates meticulous component selection, layout, and intensive per-channel component trimming during commissioning.
The PRIME module's ultra-linear design and components truly set it apart. Our design team has introduced several innovations to enhance high input level handling. A super-matched low noise quad transistor package on the front end significantly minimizes thermally induced very low-frequency anomalies. The signal path incorporates audiophile-grade Nichicon FG (Fine Gold) electrolytic capacitors, manufactured using cutting-edge etching techniques.
The PRIME module utilizes the latest 32bit / 96kHz analogue-to-digital converters. More than that, multiple devices are used in parallel on each channel to minimize distortion and optimize noise and dynamic range. Eight channels of analogue-to-digital conversion are employed for every pair of input channels, providing increased headroom and superior Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) compared to standard AD implementations. The ADC system also offers user-configurable anti-aliasing roll-off characteristics, allowing sound engineers to select optimal settings for specific applications or music genres.
To further ensure optimal performance, the PRIME circuitry is encased in full metal shielding, enhancing RF rejection throughout the signal path. Each PRIME Input module is meticulously hand-trimmed before leaving our factory, meeting our stringent requirements for feedback path and common mode rejection.
The PRIME Input Module Premium 8-Channel Preamp offers flexibility, allowing for any combination of PRIME Input and Output cards to be installed in a DX32 modular expander.
