This advanced card is equipped with PCIe Express Gen 2.0 8-lane and supports all SD/HD/2Kx1080/4K video formats. It also features 3G input/output for High Frame Rate (HFR) support, 8/10-bit YCbCr and 12-bit RGB frame buffer formats, and 4 independent Mixer/Keyer widgets. The Corvid 88 also boasts 8 independent 16-Ch 48 kHz SDI embedded audio I/O engines and Analog Color Black or HD Tri-Level Sync.

The Corvid 88 is an ideal solution for AJA Developer Partner applications, allowing access to up to eight simultaneous input and output streams on a single PCIe card. This makes it perfect for ingest and playout servers as well as channel-in-a-box systems. Each BNC connection on the Corvid 88 can be set programmatically as either an input or output, and each can support a different video format, provided all formats use the same clock timing. Connections can also be linked together to support dual link or 4K/UltraHD formats.

The Corvid 88 supports 4K (4096 x 2160) and UltraHD (3840 x 2160) High Frame Rate (HFR) workflows. It operates at frame rates of 48p, 50p, and 60p, ensuring smooth motion for the most demanding 4K and UltraHD applications. High frame rates are not limited to 4K and UltraHD with the Corvid 88, as multiple 720p and 1080p HD inputs and outputs are also supported at frame rates up to 50p and 60p, making the Corvid 88 extremely flexible for your current and future needs.

The Corvid 88 also provides one external, switchable LTC/Reference Input connection on the back of the card. A second LTC input is available on an internal header for providing additional reference to the Corvid 88. It also features a built-in RS-422 connection, available either as an external connection on the full-sized Corvid 88 or as an internal connection on the low profile Corvid 88. This RS-422 allows control of external devices for frame-accurate ingest and layoffs.
