About AJA Corvid 44 12G BNC

If you're seeking a compact yet powerful solution for your demanding video and audio workflows, the Corvid 44 12G BNC I/O card by AJA is the perfect fit. This high-speed, 8-lane PCIe 3.0 card is equipped with four bidirectional 12G-SDI full-sized BNC connections, designed to handle everything from HFR 8K/4K/Ultra HD, 2K/HD, SD, Deep Color, and HDR projects.

The Corvid 44 12G BNC is a versatile tool, supporting 10-bit 4:2:2 and 4:4:4, at up to 12-bit color spaces. It offers both ingest and output over 12G-SDI, and is backwards compatible with 6G-SDI, 3G-SDI, and 1.5G-SDI. The four bidirectional 12G-SDI ports provide immense flexibility for capture and simultaneous pass-through, making it a reliable solution for a range of applications.

This multi-format PCIe I/O card boasts four bidirectional 12G-SDI spigots with a Reference Input. It supports 8K Input or Output using quad 12G-SDI cables, and 4K/Ultra HD I/O can be achieved with either a single 12G-SDI or 6G-SDI cable or quad 3G-SDI cables. For 2K/HD I/O, a single SDI cable or dual link SDI can be used, allowing for simultaneous capture and monitoring via SDI.

The Corvid 44 12G BNC is available with either active (fan) or passive cooling (no fan), both versions supporting RS422 and LTC Input via headers on the top edge of the card. It supports high frame rates across 8K, 4K, and 2K, making it a future-proof solution for your evolving needs.

The built-in hardware downstream keyer allows for easy overlay of graphics and images on the input video in real time up to 4K. The card also provides one external, switchable LTC/Reference Input connection on the back of the card, and an internal RS-422 connection for control of external devices for frame accurate ingest and layoffs.
