This professional-grade encoder card is a perfect fit for developers seeking to integrate Corvid HEVC into their Windows and Linux applications, leveraging AJA's robust SDK and flexible API for a wide range of use cases.The Corvid HEVC Encoder Card offers 4K/UHD encoding capabilities, accepting a baseband 4K signal via its four 3G-SDI inputs, either as quadrants or sample interleaves. It expertly extracts embedded audio and metadata while sending the image to the encoder. The encoded image, audio, and metadata are then seamlessly passed to the host system for use in the software application.In its multi-channel encoding mode, the Corvid HEVC treats each input as a separate and independent channel. This mode mirrors the 4K mode, duplicating the processing for each incoming channel. Each channel can independently scale and encode to standard video resolutions, allowing for asynchronous operation and the ability to stop and start at any time.The Corvid HEVC Encoder Card also offers file-to-file encoding, reading incoming video from a file on the host system, rather than input via the hardware BNC connections. It can scale and de-interlace images onboard before transferring them to the encoder. A single Corvid HEVC card can read, decode, scale, and encode up to four simultaneous, independent files.Audio and metadata are processed in parallel with video HEVC encoding and passed via the SDK to the host software. This unique feature allows the Corvid HEVC to deliver all the source data directly from the card to your software, eliminating the need for multiple pathways.Beyond real-time encoding, the Corvid HEVC also functions as a standard video capture card, bringing SDI video and embedded audio into the system. All supported video input formats can be captured directly to the host system in a variety of file formats.As part of AJA's Developer Program, the Corvid HEVC Encoder Card allows partner companies to incorporate AJA products into their systems. By utilizing existing, proven video I/O devices, developers can leverage AJA's expertise to develop and support these technologies, saving money and accelerating their time to market.
