What sets the Corvid 44 4-Channel 8-Lane 4K UltraHD 3G-SDI PCIe 2.0 Card apart is its ability to provide high-quality, advanced video capture and playback. This professional-grade, reliable, and durable card is designed to seamlessly integrate with AJA Developer Partner applications, enabling access to four simultaneous SDI input or output streams on a single PCIe card. This makes it an ideal solution for a broad range of medium-density applications.
Each BNC connection on the Corvid 44 can be programmatically set as either an input or output, with each supporting a different video format, as long as all formats use the same clock timing. This flexibility extends to the ability to link connections together to support dual link or 4K/UltraHD formats.
The Corvid 44 stands out with its high frame rate support, accommodating 4K (4096 x 2160) and UltraHD (3840 x 2160) High Frame Rate (HFR) workflows. It smoothly handles frame rates of 48p, 50p, and 60p, ensuring optimal performance for the most demanding 4K and UltraHD applications. Moreover, it supports multiple 720p and 1080p HD inputs and outputs at frame rates up to 50p and 60p, making it a versatile tool for both current and future video capture needs.
With its AR support with Unreal Engine, the Corvid 44 enables real-time footage capture over SDI from high-quality cameras. This feature allows for seamless integration with virtual environments created by the Unreal Engine, meeting the growing needs of broadcasters and augmented reality (AR) applications.
The Corvid 44 also offers LTC and Reference Input, providing one external, switchable LTC/Reference input connection on the back of the card, and a second LTC input on an internal header for additional reference. The built-in RS-422 connection, available either as an external connection on the full-sized Corvid 44 or as an internal connection on the low profile Corvid 44, allows for precise control of external devices for frame-accurate ingest and layoffs.
As part of AJA's Developer Program, the Corvid 44 allows partner companies to incorporate AJA products into their systems, leveraging AJA's expertise to develop and support these technologies, saving money and accelerating their product's time to market.
