How can you elevate your video encoding process Look no further than the Corvid HEVC Encoder Card, a high-quality, advanced, and reliable solution from the reputable brand, AJA. This innovative product is an 8-lane PCIe 2.0 video encoder card, expertly designed to deliver real-time, low latency HEVC encoding at 4K, 1080p HD, and lower resolutions.
The Corvid HEVC Encoder Card is not just a piece of hardware; it's a powerful tool that can be seamlessly integrated into your Windows and Linux applications. Thanks to AJA's robust SDK and flexible API, this encoder card can be adapted to a wide range of use cases, making it an efficient and versatile addition to your video equipment arsenal.
In a 4K/UltraHD encoding workflow, the Corvid HEVC Encoder Card accepts a baseband 4K signal via its four 3G-SDI inputs, either as quadrants or sample interleaves. It extracts embedded audio and metadata while sending the image to the encoder, resulting in an encoded image, audio, and metadata that are then passed to the host system for use in your software application.
The Corvid HEVC Encoder Card also supports multi-channel encoding. In this mode, each input is treated as a separate and independent channel, with scaling and encoding to standard video resolutions performed on each channel asynchronously. This allows individual channels to stop and start at any time, providing you with maximum flexibility.
For file-to-file encoding workflows, the Corvid HEVC Encoder Card can read incoming video from a file on the host system, rather than input via the hardware BNC connections. The image can be scaled and deinterlaced onboard before being transferred to the encoder. This feature allows up to four simultaneous, independent files to be read, decoded, scaled, and encoded using a single Corvid HEVC card.
The Corvid HEVC Encoder Card also processes audio and metadata information in parallel with video HEVC encoding. This unique advantage allows all source data to be delivered directly from the card to your software, eliminating the need for multiple pathways.
In addition to real-time encoding, the Corvid HEVC Encoder Card can also function as a standard video capture card, bringing SDI video and embedded audio into the system. All supported video input formats can be captured directly to the host system in a variety of file formats.
The Corvid HEVC Encoder Card is a testament to AJA's commitment to empowering its development partners. By incorporating AJA products into their systems, partners can leverage AJA's expertise to develop and support these technologies, saving money and getting their integrated products to market more quickly. Experience the power and efficiency of the Corvid HEVC Encoder Card today.
