About AJA Hi5-Fiber

Make your audio and video connections seamless with the Hi5-Fiber 3G-SDI Over Fiber to HDMI Video and Audio Converter. This high-performance device converts 3G-SDI signals over a single mode 1310 nm Fiber optic cable, using an ST-style Fiber connector, to HDMI. This makes it ideal for driving HDMI monitors and ensuring high-quality video transmission.

The Hi5-Fiber converter supports embedded 8-channel 3G-SDI audio in the HDMI output. This feature allows for a convenient single cable audio/video connection, simplifying your setup and reducing clutter. Additionally, the converter provides 2-Channel RCA style audio outputs for separate audio monitoring, offering flexibility based on your specific needs.

The Hi5-Fiber converter is compatible with AJA's free Mini-Config software. This software, usable with any USB enabled AJA Mini-Converter, provides an easy-to-use graphical interface with detailed information about the current input and output formats. It allows you to control all the parameters of any supported AJA Mini-Converter and load firmware updates from AJA that add new features and functionality.

The Hi5-Fiber converter comes with a universal power supply that includes international plug connections, making it suitable for use around the globe. Its compact and portable design allows it to fit behind a monitor, in the back of a rack, or directly on a camera rig. A locking power connector ensures the device won't accidentally pull loose, and an optional P-TAP power cable allows for battery power in remote locations.
