An innovative and advanced solution for integrating traditional 3G-SDI video sources into the modern SMPTE ST 2110 IP Video infrastructure, the IPT-10G2-SDI Bridging 3G-SDI to SMPTE ST 2110 Video and Audio IP Encoder with Hitless Switching is a high-quality and reliable tool for both on-set and in-studio applications. This durable device receives baseband video along with up to 16 embedded audio channels over 3G-SDI, then expertly formats the data for output as SMPTE ST 2110 over a 10 GigE network. It extracts and synchronizes associated audio from the video stream, embedding it into the SMPTE ST 2110 stream. Alternatively, it can incorporate stereo audio from the included RCA inputs. The IPT-10G2-SDI is equipped with two 10 GigE SFP+ cages, enabling "hitless switching" (ST 2022-7) for redundancy protection in critical transmission environments. This feature allows for seamless switching between multiple sources without any loss of video or audio quality, ensuring uninterrupted and high-quality transmission. Designed with a rugged, fanless, Mini-Converter design, the IPT-10G2-SDI is ideal for a wide range of scenarios, from on-set to in the studio. It provides a solution for converting baseband camera, router, or edit bay sources, formatting and transmitting via IP to deliver content to a range of destinations. The IPT-10G2-SDI offers two key methods for control. The Control LAN Ethernet port enables control of the Mini-Converter from web browsers on any platform and REST clients. The mini-USB connector facilitates quick and simple initial network configuration and firmware updates. Compact and portable, the IPT-10G2-SDI is small enough to fit behind a monitor, in the back of a rack, or directly on a camera rig. It comes with a universal power supply that includes international plug connections for use around the world. A locking power connector ensures a secure connection, and an optional P-TAP power cable allows for battery power in remote locations.
