Professional connectivity is a standout feature of the KONA 5, boasting 4x bidirectional 12G-SDI spigots with a Reference Input. Achieve 4K/UltraHD I/O with a single 12G-SDI or 6G-SDI cable, or quad 3G-SDI cables. 2K/HD I/O can be accomplished with a single 3G-SDI cable, or dual link 1.5G-SDI, allowing simultaneous capture and monitoring via SDI. A full-sized HDMI 2.0 connection offers monitoring and output, with HDR, Deep Color, and HFR support.
The KONA 5 also comes with an included breakout cable for extended connectivity, offering a range of options for AES, RS-422 control support, and Reference. It also supports HDR (High Dynamic Range), providing a wider and richer range of colors, brighter whites, and deeper, darker blacks for a more dynamic and true-to-life imagery.
Designed for a range of workflows, the KONA 5 offers next-generation performance and flexible connectivity, making it a central component of your multi-format projects. It can be synced to an external reference for larger productions, or feed LTC in and out for proper timecode. The built-in hardware downstream keyer allows for easy overlay of graphics and images on the input video in real-time.
