AKG Acoustics GN155 Choir 6-9' Adjustable Gooseneck Stand with Shock Mounted Base for Choir Mic

The AKG Acoustics GN155 Choir 6-9' Gooseneck Stand with Shock Mounted Base offers a high-performance, flexible and elegant solution for precise temporary placement of a "choir" microphone for accurate pickup of ensembles or for theater use. The GN155 Choir is comprised of a 62" gooseneck module mounted onto a shock-isolated, telescoping clutch stand with a 15lbs base that is height-adjustable from 6' to 9'.

All five AKG Acoustics modular mic capsules are compatible for use with the GN155 Choir so its performance can be customized precisely for the application. At the capsule mounting point on the module is a status LED that illuminates when phantom power is applied to the microphone. The GN155 Choir's 33' (10 m) cable terminates in a 3-pin XLR-type connector. Inside the XLR connector are two jumpers that may be removed to switch off the gooseneck's LED and/or engage a 6 dB/octave at 200 Hz hi-pass filter. The finish is inconspicuous matte gray.

Although there are applications that could dictate use of any of the modular capsules, most applications of the GN 155 CHOIR utilize either the CK 47 or CK 80. Both of these capsules have hypercardioid pickup patterns, excellent rejection of off-axis sounds and are visually unobtrusive. The CK 47 offers wide-band, studio-quality response, while the CK 80 has speech-optimized response. The GN155 Choir is also the world's first wireless choir microphone when specified as the WMS 450/155 Choir. Imagine being able to place the module and not having to worry about hooking up cables. This set includes the GN155 Choir with a metal holder attached to the gooseneck module that holds the AKG Acoustics PT 450 UHF bodypack transmitter. The system also includes the SR 450 receiver that delivers wide frequency response and dynamic range. The WMS 450 is compatible with WMS 4000/4500 systems as well as its system expansion components for scalable multi-channel wireless system.
