I got this on a deal. K701 is obviously one of the most nice-looking headphones on the market, but it might feel cheap by today's standards when you pick it up since it's mostly plastic. On the other hand, it is very light and comfortable to wear, even for long periods of time. In terms of sound quality and particularly frequency response, it has nice mids and accentuated highs, which might not be fully accurate but still pleasant to listen to nonetheless. It does feel like it lacks in the bass, though, which could be a problem for some people depending on which types of music they like. For me personally, an EQ with moderately boosted bass is enough to solve the problem completely. (I use SoundID by Sonarworks; you can also try AutoEq and the like.) Overall, K701 is a headphone I would definitely recommend, especially when there is a good deal available.

Requires a lot of power from a standard amp so volume is low. Sound quality is solid though. Build quality 6/10.

I got it on daily deal. This model was made in Austria years ago but are now made in China. The sound is still good.

These headphones have incredible sound fidelity. Also, I’ve had many studio style headphones, and these are by far the most comfortable.

Best headphones I've owned. Very crisp. Nice sound. Using them for online music lessons.

I ordered this as a present for someone who is now getting into production. According to him, the precision with which he can hear the placement of each sound is remarkable. He’s now able to hear distinct differences in where things were panned, compared to when he was using the K240’s. He says the response is fairly flat, which is ideal when mixing music.

This headphone is super super neutral, and it almost feels some what tinny at first but once you begin listening more you will be astounded at the level of detail you are able to pick up as a result. I also thought that the weight was excellent. I have a large head though so the band may begin to hurt a bit. This version has a flat band on the top, so none of the controversial head bumps. Nonetheless, if you have a very large head the top may exert enough pressure to make your head sore. I loved them otherwise and have never been able to hear things around me in video games so clearly. Footstep detection gods and great detail retrieval, so if that's your thing get these!

Great phones. Comparing these to the k240s I had been using, I’m very happy with the clarity and definition of each instrument/frequency range. Plus they’re comfy. I’ll spend hours with them on and not think twice.

I can wear them for hours straight and barely feel them, the sound quality is outstanding. Only reason I don't give them the five stars is because they arent really portable but great studio headphones.

Because the price was substantially lower than other companies I was concerned it might arrive previously opened or as a demo despite the assurance that it was brand new. I'm happy to say the product arrived properly sealed and in perfect condition. My only concern is that the online chat representatives are not actually employees of Adorama (they seem to be 3rd party hires) so I'm not sure I would take what they say as "Adorama" policy or guarantee. Email Adorama directly if you need a binding answer. Other than that, no issues!

I received and returned these bad boys within a few days. They sounded absolutely fantastic, but they were a super uncomfortable fit. They were also enormous (most likely not usable outside of the home - may or may not matter to some, ultimately it was part of the reason I sent them back). 5 out of 5 stars in terms of audio quality, soundstage, and listening/representation of what's happening on a record or in your mix. Unfortunately because of the size and comfort, I couldn't give it a five stars!

Nice treble and mid; decent bass too if you EQ it
