About Alvarez AP70E

The Alvarez Artist 70 Series Natural Parlor Electric-Acoustic Guitar is a based on a traditional parlor guitar but built to offers a more modern sound with greater projection. The Alvarez parlor guitar has a big voice and is dynamic guitar that can be used for any style of playing. The SYS550 designed by B-BAND is a pro level EQ and pick up that reproduces the sound of the guitar very closely with great clarity. B-BAND use a patented under saddle electret film pick up which eliminates synthetic or processed sounds often heard with Piezo or other styles of pickup. The result is a very true, acoustic sound. SYS550 also has an accurate, backlit chromatic digital tuner.

The term solid top of course refers to the soundboard of an Electric-Acoustic guitar being made of solid wood, rather than being laminated. However, just because the top is solid, it does not necessarily mean the sound automatically benefits from this feature. The tone of the instrument only improves significantly when the whole guitar is built correctly to really release the energy a solid soundboard can generate. Artist Series is built to do exactly this.

This Alvarez Artist 70 is designed to get the best out if its components and for that to work together to produce a tone and player experience, rarely found in affordable instruments. These components include FST2M bracing system, bi-level bridge, real bone nut and great quality tone woods. FSTM is a forward shifted X brace design. Both the X braces and asymmetric tone bars are scalloped. Moving the system forward allows for a larger soundboard, which is optimized with a solid maple bridge plate for both strength and energy.

The sound is warm, open and powerful and both the treble and bass register is clearly present and balanced in relation to each other. This guitar feels right and is exciting to play and responsive. The solid 'A' grade Sitka spruce and cedar top is from quarter-sawn wood. This ensures consistent quality and it's no secret better guitar is made from better wood. Top is not only look great but it is stiff and strong and finely grained.
