Boosted performance speed and graphics:

For the first time, the new MacBook Air is equipped with a quad-core processor. The 10th generation, 1.2GHz i7 processor can be turbo boosted to 3.8GHZ and doubles the laptop’s run speed. With improved processing, the MacBook Air can be confidently used for video editing and compiling presentations.

Apple has thrown an Intel Iris Plus graphics card into the Air to up graphics performance by 80%. Users will notice the upgraded graphics card to positively affect everything from games in Apple Arcade to designing motion graphics.

In another first, Apple will double the initial storage space of the MacBook Air to 256GB (from 128GB), which is essential, making the Air a viable option for gaming, video editing, music production, and more. Users have the option of loading their laptop with up to 2TB of storage in case of hefty file sizes.

Keyboards and displays and speakers:

Users will be able to indulge in Apple’s new Magic Keyboard that was recently introduced on the 16-inch MacBook Pro. The Magic Keyboard has a reshaped scissor mechanism that gives 1mm of key travel. The result is a balanced and cozy feel when typing away on the keys.

The new MacBook Air rocks a 13-inch screen with Apple’s signature Retina display. If four million pixels does not suffice, users are able to connect an external 6K display via the Thunderbolt 3 input.

The Air has a three-mic array to capture any Siri commands and to ensure a clear FaceTime experience. The built-in speakers offer wide stereo sound for an enjoyable Apple TV or music listening experience.

Perhaps most important, the new MacBook Air comes with Apple’s T2 security chip, which does everything from encrypting personal data to scanning software during the boot process.
