Menachem Adelman

Menachem Adelman

Menachem Adelman is an otherwise insignificant commercial photographer and designer with 45+ years plus (gasp) in the creative graphics industry. He is a traditionalist from the Midwest, with orthodox methods. Menachem’s New York City based imaging career has taken him from the exotic fantasies of shooting estate jewelry for world-renowned auction galleries, to the rafters of MetLife stadium, recording epic events. He specializes in difficult subjects, such as reflective objects, food, jewelry, and the education and healthcare industries, carefully avoiding curvaceous fashion assignments. Remarkably, Adelman's long and winding road has brought him to the doors of Adorama, twice. Once, as the lone member of the Art Department of the fledgling store in the early 70's, responsible for everything from "The Logo" to shopping bag art. And now, shooting, writing, innovating, and testing house brands for the Product Development Team at Flashpoint/Adorama. In between these stints, he enjoyed operating a commercial photography studio serving ad agencies and corporations, spanning the olden days of film to the sizzling techno digital era. His real interest is to discover and promote the Design in Creation as revealed through his lens. He happily resides with his wife and family in good ol' Brooklyn, NY.
