Canon’s advanced new PRO1000 Inkjet Printer represents a new generation of state-of-the-art inkjet printers aimed at professionals and serious enthusiasts that demand large-format printing capability plus being able to achieve vibrant prints of superb quality that capture every nuance withan extended dynamic range. To meet these critical needs the new PRO1000 provides a 23.4-inch rear tray and a 23.4-inch manual feed slot and is capable of making borderless prints up to 17×22 inches, which includes the popular 16x20s size, as well as smaller sizes down to 4×6 inches. The rear tray accepts a maximum media thickness of 0.3mm to accommodate most standard papers, but the manual feed slot will accommodate media thicknesses ranging from 0.1mm to 0.7mm for printing on heavier art papers, textured media, and other thicker media surfaces.

As you’d expect from a printer in this class, the Canon PRO1000 incorporates the latest technical advances in ink and printer head technology to achieve these superlative results. It employs Full-Photolithography Inkjet Nozzle Engineering that includes an Integrated Type 12-ink head configuration, a nozzle pitch of 600 dpi x 2, a total of 18,432 nozzles (1,536 nozzles x 12 inks), and a droplet size of only 4 picoliters per ink to achieve an impressive maximum print resolutionof up to 2400 x 1200 dpi. And it works with the acclaimed Canon pigment-based LUCIA PRO Ink set, that uses a high tank fill volume of 80ml, and yields stunning prints of truly archival quality—according to Canon’s test data they have a longevity of approximately 200 years when stored in an album.

Of course the new PRO1000 provides enhanced wireless connectivity using such features as Air Print, the Canon PRINT app, Wireless PictBridge, and the PIXMA Cloud Link, plus additional options including Borderless Printing, Grayscale Photo Printing, and Pro Gallery Print.
