AdoramaTVpresents Getting the Shot withCorey Rich.
As photographers, our go-to position is to stand up straight and start shooting frames. The downside to this position, however, is that by doing this we are capturing a perspective that everyone has seen.
In this Tech Tip, Corey Rich delves into the creative process of finding new perspectives and working situations in order to create an interesting picture that the world has never before seen. Using an archival shot of a woman jumping in a sleeping bag over the sculpted sand dunes of Death Valley, Corey discusses in detail the creative process he applied to this specific situation and comes to the conclusion that, as photographers, we must always ask ourselves what will turn a good photograph into a great photograph.
At the end of the day, it’s all about finding a new perspective, putting an interesting subject in the frame, evolving the moment into something that’s engaging and, of course, technically nailing the shot with correct exposure, focus, composition and moment. That’s what will make good photographs great.
