This week at IBC 2018, Adobe unveiled the new features coming to Creative Cloud. Highlights include Adobe Sensei-powered animation, advanced audio cleanup tools, precision color grading management systems, and data-driven motion graphic templates. These latest upgrades follow Adobe’s recent unveiling of Project Rush, the cross-device video editing app designed for online creative content.
Here’s some of the advanced features we can look forward to using this year:
Animation:
After Effects introduced the new Mesh Sculpting tool, which can mold layers into unlimited shapes by twisting and bending animated properties. For puppetry, try the Characterizer tool, which utilizes artificial intelligence and machine learning technology in Adobe Sensei by using a webcam and reference artwork.
Audio:
New sound cleanup tool DeNoise, found in the Essential Sound panel in Adobe Audition, dials down and depletes unwanted background noise, hums, and buzzes. Use DeReverb to improve a sound clip by adjusting to the program’s new adaptive sound algorithms.
Color:
The Lumetri Color tool in Premiere Pro and After Effects allows advanced precision to color curve adjustments. This innovative tool works quickly and efficiently, utilizing a new selective color grading management system.
Motion Graphics and Data:
Try the new data-driven infographics in Premiere Pro. The handy drag-and-drop function moves spreadsheet files to templates or visual data representations within video projects.
Video:
Premiere Pro and After Effects now offers a powerful 180-degree immersive video experience. Output your project in Google VR 180 for viewing on YouTube or other platforms.
Curated Content:
Search and sort millions of curated, contemporary 4K and HD cinematic footage and professionally-designed motion graphics templates right from the Essential Graphics panel in Premiere Pro and After Effects.
Adobe’s new upgrades aim to take the drudgery out of repetitive editing tasks that will speed up production workflow allowing artists, filmmakers, and video professionals more time for creativity.
