It’s also compatible with smartphones using the same 3.5mm input. A windscreen and wind muff are included to assist with capturing clean audio.
This shotgun condenser microphone has a supercardioid polar pattern, so it’s a tad more directional than cardioid with additional rear pickup. The HA-CVM records frequencies ranging from 80 Hz to 16 kHz. The condenser includes a -34 db sensitivity and 100 dB dynamic range, and features a Super Anti-Interference function to keep sound clear.

Ideal for: video bloggers, on-the-go interviews, documentary
The OC-VM-100 is similar to the HA-CVM, but with a few notable differences. The OC-VM-100 offers a selectable 90-degree or 120-degree angle adjustment, which allows the user to configure the width of the microphone’s pickup. Focus on centered subjects — rejecting side and rear off-axis signals — with the 90-degree pattern, which is useful in louder settings. Switch over to the 120-degree pattern for less side axis rejection to capture more of the sound in the front of the camera, which is often useful in quieter settings.
With its larger form factor and CR2 battery power, the OC-VM-100 provides 6dB more dynamic range and an extra octave of subbass frequencies compared to the HA-CVM, as the OC-VM-100 covers frequencies down to 40 Hz.
The microphone body has an integrated shockmount to cut down on vibrations, and mounts via cold shoe. A removable windscreen is provided for outdoor settings. The integrated 3.5mm TRS cable is compatible with most camcorders and cameras; the full compatibility list is in the “key features” section.
H&A HA-LCDM Large Diaphragm Studio Microphone ()
Key features:
- Extra-large diaphragm condenser microphone
- Cardioid pickup pattern
- 20 Hz to 20 kHz frequency range
- 80 dB signal-to-noise-ratio
- 1.3-inch gold-plated diaphragm (30% larger than average large diaphragm)
- 48v phantom power via balanced, gold-plated XLR3M output
- Shockmount with basket
- Tilted stand mount adapter
Ideal for: professional voiceovers, podcasts, broadcasts, instruments, musicians
The HA-LCDM is a high quality condenser microphone built for indoor recordings. The microphone uses a cardioid polar pattern designed for a single audio source like a voice or guitar, and captures frequencies from 20 Hz up to 20 kHz — the general professional standard for studio microphones — perfect for voiceovers and instrument recording. Pair the frequency range with an 80 dB signal-to-noise ratio and a 1.3″ diaphragm, and you’ve got an exceptional studio microphone.
The HA-LCDM comes with a shockmount and basket, and uses a standard XLR output and does require 48v phantom power.
