Sharp image in several shooting modes:
The new Olympus boasts a strapping 12-megapixel CMOS image sensor and a Dual Quad TruePic VIII Image Processor to give shooters a clean, detailed finish. The TG-6 features a hi-speed f/2.0 lens to properly capture all those low-light settings. The new Olympus Tough is capable of 4x optical zoom and up to 8x digital zoom with the addition of the Digital Teleconverter (8x is available in P/A/Movie Mode). The lens has anti-reflective coating to rid shots of annoying flares and ghosts, too.
On top of excellent image quality, the rugged camera provides users with a range of shooting modes for any scenario. Users can choose from four separate macro shooting modes including Focus Stacking and Focus Bracketing that can save a perfect shot from improper focusing. The TG-6 also has five shooting modes dedicated solely to underwater shooting, including the new microscope mode, which allows users to photograph up to one centimeter away from the end of the lens. Since the TG-6 is made for underwater shooting and other atypical situations, the camera provides three different white balance modes to preserve all the blues and reds.
And if that’s not enough, the new camera is capable of 4K movie recording, hi-speed movie recording at Full HD up to 120fps, and PRO Capture Mode for lag-free shooting.

Built tough:
This camera was designed for the rugged adventurer and has the specs to prove it: waterproof down to 50 feet, freezeproof down to 14 degrees Fahrenheit, crushproof up to 220 pounds, shockproof from up to seven feet, and dustproof. The lens is sealed with dual-pane glass to prevent fogging and the Field Sensor System supplies users with GPS, barometer, thermometer, and compass.
Inside all of the ruggedness is a new 1.04-million dot LCD screen and built-in WiFi ready for wireless sharing or remote shooting.
The new Olympus Tough TG-6 is available for preorder in black and red for at Adorama.
