Tomorrow’s Lenses Today
Wide F1.4 50mm Prime ZEISS® Lens
For photographers and videographers who demand high contrast and resolution, the new Wide F1.4 50mm prime Zeiss lens delivers outstanding performance.
Full-frame and E-mount photographers will love the F1.4 maximum aperture of this lens that offers excellent low-light performance. The 50mm focal length is an ideal length for most photographers. The 11-blade aperture and aspherical elements make for gorgeous bokeh. Thanks to the 12 Elements and 9 Groups with two aspherical elements, including a high-precision AA (advanced aspherical)type and ED (Extra-low Dispersion) the new lens maintains outstanding contrast and resolution right out to the image periphery.
Featuring Zeiss T∗ coating, photographers won’t have to worry about lens flare, internal reflection or light scattering. And those looking to create smoother, more natural defocused backgrounds will love the 11-blade circular aperture.
The lens will be available for pre-order on July 13th with retail price of $1,498.
Constant Aperture F2.8 70-200mm Zoom G Master lens
Also available on July 13th will be the previously announced constant aperture F2.8 70-200 mm telephoto zoom with extraordinary G Master resolution that offers unsurpassed rendering and bokeh, blazing AF, and extraordinary image stabilization performance.
The new high-performance lens maintains exposure and depth of field with a constant F2.8 max aperture. Sony full-frame camera owners will love this lens for everything from indoor and outdoor sports, wildlife, nature, telephoto, macro, portraits and more.
Thanks to the innovate G Master design, the lens combines extraordinary sharpness and smooth Bokeh in one lens. It is not easy to achieve spatial frequency of 50 lines pairs per millimeter at a lens’s widest aperture and produce smooth beautiful bokeh at the same time, but that is Sony’s baseline for G Master design. Unprecedented resolution and other demanding design parameters yield outstanding reproduction of the most detailed subjects and scenes with superior contrast throughout every frame. G Master resolution is simply the highest in its class.
The lens will be available for pre-order on July 13th with retail price of $2,598.
