On Thursday August 2nd from 10AM-4:45PM, Adorama will be hosting The Blographer Event, a day-long event designed specifically to give bloggers the tools they need to improve their blogs through better photography. The day-long Blographer Event will take place at the Metropolitan Pavilion, located on West 18th Street, in the heart of New York’s Chelsea district and just down the block from Adorama. The day will start at 10:00 AM with the presentation Developing Your Unique Vision, hosted by New York-based photographer Vivienne Gucwa and photo blogger Lotus Carroll, who also co-hosts a weekly videocast with partner Thomas Hawk called Photo Talk Plus.Then at 12:00, there will be a workshop called Ten Ways to Make Your Photos Blogworthy. Presenters will be Amanda Bottoms, a food and travel photo blogger and co-host of the blog kevinandamanda.com, and Erin Cobb, a photo blogger and mom who blogs about family and children photography (and other stuff) in The Pigbear. At 2:00, lunch will be provided, and participants will have an hour to meet and network.Finally from 3:00-4:45, attendees will be treated to The Power of Visual Storytelling.
