Mine Arrived with Rippled Pages
I had a portfolio presentation coming up and needed something inexpensive that looked of better quality than the plastic, more-scratched-proned cover portfolio books of similar price. This appeared to be my answer.
Love the soft faux-leather cover. There is a business card holder on the inside front cover and a folder sleeve on the inside back cover to hold a couple loose documents/prints.
The sheets are thin and give slightly more glare than my other portfolio books. Black paper inserts are inside each sheet. Overall construction of the book looks good and durable enough. The product arrived in a large box and was cushioned with lots of crumpled up packaging sheets.
I don't know what happened, but you know how with thinner plastic, if it is exposed to too much heat the surface begins to ripple? That is how each and every one of the sheets were upon arrival. It could have been the exposure to the more extreme summer heat out here in the southwest, I don't know. Unfortunately, there was no way I could use this for a presentation book to showcase my photos for potential clients. However, I am keeping it to use to archive prints and use as a more casual presentation book similar to a family album.
Had the sheets been smooth and not rippled, this would have made an excellent, professional looking presentation book. I hope mine was either the result of a victim of the summer heat or a defective batch.
