it is attached to my camera so taking a picture of it in use is not possible -it looks just like the photo on the website - it is solid chunk of steel with some weight to it. it does what it says - i can keep my tripod quick lock head piece attached to the camera and easily access the battery and memory card compartment. it is great to buy stuff that works as expected.

Works great! But! The supposed adhesive to maintain its position is cheap at best. Why don't people use naturally semi-sticky rubber like Sirui / Vidpro do on their products?

Although the FZ1000 is my 3rd Camera (Canon 80D and Sony A5100) it's my go-to camera on Motorcycle trips and if I want the range of the lens with me without the hassle of multiple lenses I'm a big fan of Peak Design and Cotton carriers and the biggest issue with this camera is that even the small PD plate or a fixed tripod mount cover the battery compartment as well as the fact the hole isn't centered this resolves both issues like magic
