I used these slide trays to store slides that had been in carousels for the past 20-30 years.  These trays allowed me to store the slides in a much smaller space but still keep them organized by year/subject.  As you get closer to 23-25 per box, it can get hard to get the slides into the box but they'll go in if you work with them a bit.
