it suits my needs perfectly
i needed several archival boxes in which to store works on paper, and this fit the bill nicely. they're sturdy, polished, and well built--giving the impression that the makers care and take pride in their work. as boxes for presenting art, they're elegant. as storage compartments, they make you feel that your works are well-protected. i'm looking to get more of these boxes.

I liked my first portfolio box so much that I ordered a second one. They make all the difference in the world when I show my photographs. I have total flexibility now, it's easy to rearrange my photographs when I'm putting a specific group together to show a client and it makes so much sense to be able to rearrange the photographs on a table to talk about them. The portfolio boxes are well built and they do the job. They're understated and professional.

Archival Methods Onyx 11x14x2" Portfolio Box, Black Features
- Box core is Kappa binder's board (0.1), a bookmaking board with no glue between layers.
- Lined with 80 lb. acid- and lignin-free paper.
- PAT tested and passed.
- Covered in library quality F-Grade Buckram (poly-cotton) with a moisture-resistant, 100% aqueous acrylic coating.
- Adhesive is pH balanced and buffered, less than .0008% sulfur content.
- Reinforced hinge.
- Close-tolerance construction to keep out dust.
- Hinged design allows top to fold open and lie flat, providing easy and instant access; this design, moreover, facilitates transfer of stored items from one side to the other for smooth and professional presentation.
- An additional and important benefit is that photos, transparencies or documents are subject to less physical handling compared to storage in conventional boxes, further reducing any risk of damage.
- More specifically, works in portfolio boxes can be edge-handled with fingers never touching the surface of the work.
