It is devoid of metal particles, waxes, plasticizers, and residual bleach peroxide, ensuring the purity of the board. The sulfur content is less than 0.0008% reducible sulfur, while the iron content does not exceed 150ppm and copper is kept below 6ppm. The manufacturing process of this museum board does not involve the use of optical brightening agents or alum, ensuring the longevity and integrity of your artwork. The board is laminated together using an all-natural starch adhesive, enhancing its durability and sturdiness.The Archival Methods Museum Board 14x18 Bright White 8 Ply passes the stringent Photographic Activity Test (PAT) ISO IT 18916 (formerly ISO 14523 ANSI IT9.16), guaranteeing its suitability for preserving photographic materials. With a Kappa number of less than five, the lignin content of this board is minimal, further enhancing its archival quality.Ideal for matting, mounting, and preservation, this thick 8-Ply board creates a 1/8" separation between your artwork and its glazing, providing a flat, supportive backing for both display and storage.
