From the renowned brand Archival Methods comes the Museum Board 11x14 Antique White 2 Ply PKG 25, a professional-grade, durable, and reliable solution for preserving and displaying your precious images, documents, and artwork. Crafted from 100% cotton fiber, this high-quality museum board is designed with longevity in mind, ensuring your cherished pieces maintain their integrity over time.
The Antique White Museum Board boasts a warm yellow/ivory tone, providing an elegant backdrop for your prints. Its acid-free and lignin-free composition, coupled with alkaline or neutral sizing, safeguards your work from the damaging effects of acid migration and environmental pollution. This ensures the pH of the mat board remains stable, preventing discoloration and degradation.
This sturdy 2-Ply, 30 Pt. museum board is constructed from 99% Alpha Cellulose, devoid of post-consumer waste recycled pulp, metal particles, waxes, plasticizers, and residual bleach peroxide. Its sulfur content is minimal, and iron and copper contents are kept well below harmful levels.
The Museum Board is free of optical brightening agents, ensuring the true color of your artwork shines through. The alkaline sizing used in both internal and external applications further enhances its durability, and no alum is used in the manufacturing process.
Buffered with calcium carbonate, this museum board maintains a 2-3% alkaline reserve and a pH of 9 +/-0.5, making it truly acid-free. The color dyes used are light-fast and non-bleeding, preserving the vibrancy of your prints.
The Museum Board passes the rigorous Photographic Activity Test (PAT) ISO 14523 (formerly ANSI IT9.16), confirming its suitability for preserving photographic materials. Its lignin content, tested by TAPPI 236 cm-85, has a Kappa number of less than five, indicating its superior quality.
Perfect for matting, mounting, and preserving fine prints, precious documents, and both traditional and digital photographs, the Museum Board 11x14 Antique White 2 Ply PKG 25 is your go-to solution for creating a 1/32" separation between your artwork and its glazing, providing a flat, supportive backing for both display and storage.
