Under the trusted brand of Archival Methods, the Museum Board 5x7 Antique White 2 Ply PKG 25 is a professional-grade, high-quality, and durable solution for your photography and printing needs. Crafted from 100% cotton fiber, this museum board is not only sturdy but also reliable for long-term storage and display of photographs, artwork, and other printed materials.
The Antique White Museum Board boasts a yellow/ivory tone, providing a classic and elegant backdrop for your works. It is acid-free and lignin-free, ensuring the longevity of your precious pieces. The board incorporates both alkaline and neutral sizing, offering additional protection against the damaging effects of acid migration from matted works or a polluted environment.
This 2-ply, 30 Pt. (approximately 1/32") museum board is made from 99% Alpha Cellulose, with no post-consumer waste recycled pulp. It is free from metal particles, waxes, plasticizers, and residual bleach peroxide, ensuring the purity of your artwork's environment. The sulfur content is less than 0.0008% reducible sulfur, while the iron content does not exceed 150ppm and copper does not exceed 6ppm.
The Museum Board is buffered with calcium carbonate, providing a 2-3% alkaline reserve and maintaining a pH of 9 +/-0.5. This acid-free board ensures your artwork remains in pristine condition. Furthermore, no optical brightening agents are used in the pulp, and the color dyes are light-fast and non-bleeding, ensuring the color integrity of your work.
This museum board passes the Photographic Activity Test (PAT) ISO 14523 (formerly ANSI IT9.16), proving its suitability for matting, mounting, and preservation of fine prints, precious documents, and both traditional and digital photographs. The lignin content is tested by TAPPI 236 cm-85 and has a Kappa number of less than five, further attesting to its quality.
For window mats and mat backing of small prints, the 2-Ply mat will create a 1/32" separation between your artwork and its glazing, providing a flat, supportive backing for both display and storage. Trust the Archival Methods Museum Board 5x7 Antique White 2 Ply PKG 25 for your professional photography and printing needs.
