The Archival Methods Museum Board 11x17 Warm White 4 Ply is a premium, professional-grade product designed for the preservation and display of fine prints, precious documents, and both traditional and digital photographs. Crafted from 100% cotton fiber pulp, this museum board boasts a warm white tone that enhances your artwork without introducing a yellow cast.
This museum board is acid-free and lignin-free, ensuring long-lasting protection against discoloration, tearing, and warping. It is buffered with calcium carbonate, providing a 2-3% alkaline reserve and maintaining a pH level of 9 +/-0.5. This feature safeguards your valuable pieces from the damaging effects of acid migration and environmental pollution that could potentially cause the board's pH to decrease over time.
The Archival Methods Museum Board is free of optical brightening agents, metal particles, waxes, plasticizers, and residual bleach peroxide, ensuring the purity of your artwork's display environment. The sulfur content is less than 0.0008% reducible sulfur, and the iron and copper contents do not exceed 150ppm and 6ppm respectively.
The board's color dyes are light-fast and non-bleeding, ensuring that your artwork remains vibrant and true to its original colors. The board is constructed using alkaline sizing for both internal and external sizing, and no alum is used in the manufacturing process.
The 4-Ply board is recommended for matting, mounting, and backing, providing a 1/16" separation between your artwork and its glazing. This separation ensures a flat, supportive backing for both display and storage. The board passes the Photographic Activity Test (PAT) ISO IT 18916 (formerly ISO 14523 ANSI IT9.16), and its lignin content, tested by TAPPI 236 cm-85, has a Kappa number of less than five.
The Archival Methods Museum Board 11x17 Warm White 4 Ply is a durable, high-quality choice for professionals and hobbyists alike, ensuring your artwork is preserved and displayed in the best possible condition.
