Rest assured, no optical brightening agents are used in the manufacturing process, maintaining the integrity and authenticity of your prints.This museum board is crafted from 100% cotton fiber pulp, with 99% Alpha Cellulose, and is free from post-consumer waste recycled pulp. It's also devoid of metal particles, waxes, plasticizers, and residual bleach peroxide, ensuring a clean, professional finish. The sulfur content is less than 0.0008% reducible sulfur, and the iron content does not exceed 150ppm, while copper does not exceed 6ppm.Alkaline sizing is used for both internal and external sizing, with no alum used in the manufacturing process. The board is buffered with calcium carbonate 2-3% alkaline reserve, pH 9 +/-0.5, making it acid-free. The color dyes are light-fast and non-bleeding, ensuring your artwork remains vibrant and unaltered.This sturdy, 4-ply board will not degrade or cause harm to your mounted matted artwork. It passes the PAT (Photographic Activity Test) ISO IT 18916 (formerly ISO 14523 ANSI IT9.16), guaranteeing its archival quality. The lignin content is tested by TAPPI 236 cm-85 and has a Kappa number of less than five, further attesting to its durability.Ideal for matting, mounting, and preserving fine prints, precious documents, and both traditional and digital photographs, this museum board is a reliable choice for professionals. For window mats and mat backing, this 4-Ply board creates a 1/16" separation between your artwork and its glazing, providing a flat, supportive backing for both display and storage.
