The sulfur content is kept below 0.0008% reducible sulfur, while the iron content does not exceed 150ppm and copper is limited to 6ppm.

The board's alkaline sizing is applied both internally and externally, with no alum used in the manufacturing process. It is buffered with calcium carbonate, maintaining a 2-3% alkaline reserve and a pH level of 9 +/-0.5.
