Product has been out of stock since I installed my security sytsem 2 years ago.
I installed an Armcrest system and now the doorbell is practically worthless.

Absurdly Overpriced
The margin on this item is utterly ridiculous. This should be $20 max. Embarrassing money grab by Amcrest. Not a good look.

Great product for the price
Very good quality (build and camera). The included setup instructions of the software can be better: Give the name of the app to download, because there's more than one on the app store. Also instructions where to find the serial number. Had to Google for all of this.

Finally a good chime that is not limited by distance
I purchased the chime in USA but I am in Europe and didnt realise the chime would have a USA plug. Lucky it supports 220 volts and a converter plug did the trick. The install failed initially, because the process does not tell you to press a button to start the hotspot at first. Once that is done the install goes flawless. It is a pitty the chime only has 4 melodies, but I found one that suits me.
One small improvement could be that the chime does not respond when a second press on the video doorbell is given short after the first press. But despite this 5 full deserved stars.

Good Once Configured
Instructions to link unit to AD11 Video doorbell was a little clugy but once I figured out the sequence to accomplish the chime has been working extremely well.

This one actually works!!
As can be seen from other reviews, there was an issue with the original release of this product. Yes I had one of those and it was returned. I asked the Live chat at least four different times if the issue was corrected, never got a reply to that question. Even when chatting, it would go silent on the question. So I took another chance and to try it again and can say this one works as advertised.

Great trouble free chime
I have a older home with a old hallway chime and cannot locate the weak transformer to replace it. This is the perfect solution to my problem. Thanks for having them instock :)

Best look elsewhere
When the linked doorbell button is pressed the crime doesn't ring. I've contacted tech support and was told to submit a trouble report via their link. I never received a reply.

Same as everyone else
'invalid serial number' when using the Amcrest Smarthome app. It works with the Dahua DMS app but then it won't connect to existing doorbell. I have to return it and wait for a refund as well.

Invalid Serial Number the third
Experienced the same problem trying to connect my AD1-Chime to an existing Amcrest doorbell. Contacted Amcrest support: It's a manufacturer's mistake, he installed the wrong serial number which can't be recognized by the app. Sent the chime back and am awaitening my refund. Hopefully they will release the correct product batch soon!

Feel like you could have done more
Tried to scan the QR code and enter the serial number and it won't work. I have to send it back and wait to order a new one. Very frustrating!

AD1 Chime does not work.
My AD1 Chime will not connect to my Amcrest Smarthome app. I keep getting an "invalid serial number" when trying to add the chime to the app. QR scan and typing SN does not work. Can not find anything to help on Amcrest web site to help.
