Should have bought cameras from Amazon difficult to return.Called Amcrest sales twice to make sure the cameras would work with my DVR both said they would but didn't.Cost me $35.00 to return them.Difficult language barrier

This is my 3rd update to my original set. I am now fitting 4 new cameras, 2tb hard disc, & new dvr. I bought 2 dvr`s a few years ago as backup, glad I did as they will come in useful now. My system is with cables not wifi as I think wifi system is not as reliable -- long term. In my opinion Amcrest systems are exceptional quality, good advice centre, from professional staff. Very pleased with everything.

It is a replacement camera because squirrels chewed the wires off. It was an easy remove and replace. Works perfect. I now have protected the wires so it won’t happen again.

Neat little micro-switch allow the camera to be one of 4: HD-CVI/TVI/AHD/Analog). This allowed me to set the best quality for my older wired system. Sweet!

1 1/2 years ago I bought the AMDV1080M-8B-B security system. I have been pretty happy with the system, but I had to replace 2 cameras. 1 camera goes out in subzero temperatures and then works again when the temperature warms up. The other camera goes out when it is very hot out and the sun is shining on it. I should find out in a couple of days if the replacement camera works as the temperature is expected to drop. I have the 3 T.B. DVR, it is suppose to hold 15 days of recording, but only holds about 11 days. It's not that big of a deal to me. Otherwise I have been happy with the system.

Every thing was out of stock so we had to buy all parts separately for system. We did not know we needed to buy hard drive for dvr . So we bought from Wal-Mart. Then we found out we needed cable for dvr. Company sent cable for free. Then one camera had defect. Company replaced it. We are pleased with our security system. But it is hard to figure out how it works. I wish there was more info directions

I haven't been able to test the camera as the first one arrived broken. The rma took quite a while to get here and I was on vacation when it arrived and had to wait till I returned to fedex it back. That was on June 12 and I am still waiting for the replacement. In the meantime I ordered one from Amazon and have received that one and tested it. The picture is really great and I have ordered 3 more from Amazon as the shipping seems to be quicker and Amazon returns/credits/replacements are nearly instant.

I bought this system to install in a new house. I liked the quality of the system supplyed and the install went in easly, I must admit I had the contractor run the cables while the house was being built which made things a lot easer. Some months later after the house was built I fired up the system and most seemed OK. One of the cameras did not work, the RF led's worked but no picture. I bought another bullet camera and all went well. The main DVR box is a little noisy, they could do a little work on sound isolation. The usb port to transfer data is a USB 2 port, that could us a little updating. I ran a long HMDI cable from the DVR to my TV upstairs and that works great. You control the DVR with a mouse. I still need to consider how I am going to control the DVR from upstairs to control the TV screen. Something to consider when installing. When buying the system I was in a rush on my research and depended some on friends that had gotten this system. Looking back perhaps I should had gotten the amcrest NVR and run cat cable in the house. The cameras avaiable for that system seem to have high resulation and it is easer to install tilt, pan, zoom. Also it seems most of the develpment on cameras is towards the IP cameras. I have not worked through

Bought this camera to replace my 800 TVL analog camera. There is absolutely no comparison between the picture quality of this camera and my old one. Picture is clear and crisp and night vision is superb. I would highly recommend this camera and the Amcrest HDCVI DVR.
