Great system, CLEAR images!! Fairly easy to set up. The only real issue I have is the directions are adequate, but they don't give you much information on troubleshooting if it's not going exactly how the directions say. If you're not an IT guy (I'm a helicopter pilot), you may miss a critical step or setting and chase your tail for a while. I still can't get remote access on my computer. This system is in my vacation home 140 miles away, and now that I'm here, I'd love to call customer service, but they're closed for maintenance the entire time I'm here. :-(

The system works properly. Easy to install. Internet connection works well. Good quality video. My only Con: The cameras are difficult to adjust if you are not careful to point them pretty close to where you want before securing the mounting screws. Very little side to side adjustment.

This system was easy to install, however do not use combined cables for long runs, they tend to warn of low power on night vision. When on a full length 160 ft cable they work just fine for long runs. The video is clear in all weather situations, even hard rain and the night vision is incredible for the price. I highly recommend.

Being in the country has its pros and cons like everything else. But one of my problems is my internet comes over the phone line . No cable TV here satellite . So with that being said I needed a hard wired system . So I purchased your 1080P with 8 channels. It's a quality system, it fit my needs perfectly . Thank you for a great system.

Very happy with my 1080 system. Cameras are very clear, color it good and very easy to set up. I got the four camera system with 8 ports to expand if needed. Going to buy exact same system for my daughter.

The Amcrest 8 channel system I purchased i very nice. the cameras have very good quality video. I installed my own HD and everything works great so far. I am still learning how tweak the system. I found the manual cumbersome to navigate through. The directions are not exactly as described in the manual and the photos shown are very poor to discern whats the example. The cable hook ups on the DVR are too close and hard to twist fasten the coax. The IP67 Bullet Cameras mounts need another point to pivot on to help move direction after mounting.

I have installed more than a dozen camera systems over the last 10 years and I was amazed how easy and inexpensive it has become. I replaced a PC based system with this unit and all existing cameras came up without any changes, including the ptz controls. Adding several HD cameras was just as easy. The most difficult part , as always, is running the wires, but with the pre terminated cables it is a lot easier. The wireless camera came up quickly and after a call to tech support I had it connected to the DVR and tecording..

Kit came with all wires. Need a HD. This was an upgrade for me from the 960 system. I ussed old HD and installed new cameras. Not impressed with the fish eye look from the domes. Bullets are great. The quality of picture from the 960 to 1080 is incredible. Highly recommend. But get the bullet cameras

I had another brand of cameras on my house and was having some issues with them so my son told me about his cameras that he purchased from your company about how good they are. So I decided to try and give your cameras a chance and I love them and also when you need Technical Support you don't have to wait on the phone for anywhere from 2 to 5 hours to get you problem solved.

I was looking for a home security camera system and chatted with someone at Amcrest. The gentleman was very nice and helpful. Unfortunately he gave me the wrong information and I order a system that would not work for me. I received the product within 3 days but had to return it and reorder. Customer service was very efficient and I returned the items and reordered the correct item.

Overall super easy to set up and worked perfectly. Used the older cables and also ran a few new ones and saw no difference in HD quality. Really like the push notifications and software allows you to tweak the “pixel” areas of each view to eliminate areas with continual motion like a tree branch to avoid false alarms. Only criticism I have would be one camera had had to been rebooted three times (had it for three days). Screen will flash in and out with wavy lines and difficulty in switching back and forth daylight to nighttime. Seems like a faulty camera but all others have had no issues. Really busy at work but when I get a chance will contact Amcrest for replacement and will update this review with the results. Overall would definelty but again from them again (unless the faulty cam is an issue)

I purchased this unit 3 weeks ago. So far I am very pleased with the units. Set up was fairly easy. A little time consuming but not hard. Setting the sensitivity was not easy. Seems there is a fine line between false alerts and real alerts. Rain seems to make it constantly alert to motion detection. But I guess the image is constantly changing. Not sure what could be done to fix that and false alerts due to bugs. Email alerts work great after figuring out the setup. Alarm alerts and Amcrest app alerts that are stored do not work. Only a fraction are showing within the system. Software does still need some enhancements and improvements to be a robust system.

It was time for me to replace my 10+ year old camera system at my house. I wanted to get cameras that used the same type wiring that I already had. In looking at various web sites I came onto Amcrest. With a chat conversation that was followed by a phone call- Amcrest suggested what was right for my needs. I was able to install at the new system including online and remote access with a computer and an iphone without the need for any tech support- how great is that.

purchased 2 weeks ago... I purchased the 1080P 4 camera system. Easy to install and easy to use app. Great support, as well. I emailed with a question on the system and had a response back same day that fixed my minor issue. I plan on purchasing an additional 4 cameras to maximize the unit.

I'm running 4 1080 cameras and 4 720 cameras. I'm very happy that I saved myself money by being able to use my 720 cameras from my old system on my new 1080 p system.

I was impressed by the picture quality from this cameras. I bought 4 of them to keep an eye on package deliveries. But after witnessing the picture quality, I have decided to obtain additional cameras. Well, as soon I figure out how to order individual cameras. I highly recommend it if you are on a budget and will expand to 8 cameras in the future.
