Excellent quality, design and features. I recently installed and configure it. I was surprised of the features and how versatile, much better than my old Swann.

I purchased this system for my office. I was replacing an older system that stopped working. Since I had a previous system by a different manufacturer I kinda knew what to look for with this one, picture quality and product support. The installation was pretty straight forward but getting it online required several phone calls to tech support. Even they had difficulties helping me get it to work remotely. But eventually it started working and have been satisfied with remote access via the web and on mobile devices. Where it still lacks is the ability to get email notifications. If you read their forum boards there are countless other users what also can't get email notifications. Yet for some reason Amcrest has failed to address this and offer any sort of tangible support to address the problem. Only recently has anyone from Amcrest been on the boards answering user's questions. It's been mainly users helping users. As for the software interface it is clunky and not intuitive. But this is typical of surveillance camera software and interfaces. No one ever seems to put any money into developing a nice backend system. They also don't promote the fact they have a Mac application you can use in lieu of the web interface that works much better. It wasn't until stumbling across it on the forum did I learn of it. As for the mobile app it pretty much sucks. Every time you want to view your cameras you have to re-select your system in the menu before it shows up. My previous system's app started streaming the video within 30 seconds automatically. Amcrest also failed to mention anywhere in the description there is no audio in the cameras. So I had to buy an external mic after the fact and wire it back to the DVR. No big deal but it would have been nice to install this at the same time as the cameras instead of having to go back and do it a week later. Over all the quality of the cameras are pretty good. Even though I got the 720p HD cameras I think the image/video is clean but really degrades when zoomed in. I'm in the market for another 4 camera system for my home. Until they get email notifications to work I won't buy another system from Amcrest. However, if they can get it resolved I would probably buy another system, but not the 720p variation. I have a feeling I would only be happy with the 1080p system.

With HDCVI, all you need is coaxial cabling to do all three! Set-up multi-camera view, alarm alerts, data management, PTZ status, network configuration and much more! With the DVR On-Screen Display, you're in control.
