The sources are selectable with the buttons on the wall plate or remotely via RS-232 commands sent through the matching receiver device. The DXW-2EU also features a LAN port for network connection and two USB ports for powering USB devices and transmitting 480Mbps up to 230ft independently to a different location.

The DXW-2EU can be remotely powered by the receiver device and also has the ability to receive IR signals via the sensor window on the front of the unit and pass them to the receiver unit for remote control of IR controllable devices.
