About Ampeg SVT50

Take your bass playing to new heights with the Heritage Series SVT50 120V US B17-1 Tube Bass Amp Head, a testament to Ampeg's golden-era SVT sounds. This isn't just a bass amp; it's a piece of music history that sparked a revolution when it first debuted in 1969. Designed to combat the overpowering full-stack guitar amps of the time, the original 300-watt SVT brought balance back to the stage, paving the way for a generation of bass-forward music.

The Heritage 50th Anniversary SVT bass amp embodies this spirit of innovation, honoring the unrivaled SVT legacy while integrating modern technology and vintage aesthetics. It's a stage-ready head that distills the legendary amp's most celebrated circuits, making it the perfect SVT for the 21st century.

Experience the versatility of the Heritage 50th Anniversary SVT, offering two discrete preamp channels that replicate the revered tone from the amp's most desirable eras: the original 1969 "Blue Line" SVT and the mid-70s Magnavox design. For an even more aggressive sound, you can jump the two channels together. To ensure reliable delivery of this titanic tone, the amp is equipped with a sextet of specially sourced and matched Ampeg Super Valve 6550 tubes.

Modern features are seamlessly integrated into this classic design. The Heritage 50th Anniversary SVT comes with a newly enhanced balanced XLR DI output, user-friendly biasing, a whisper-quiet fan to extend tube life, and a robust Neutrik speakOn jack for connection to any modern speaker cabinet. Handmade in the U.S.A. from top-shelf components, this amp is as authentically American as Rock & Roll.

The Heritage 50th Anniversary head also pays homage to the original "Blue Line" SVT's iconic look, with engraved blue text and lines surrounding the tone controls and input jacks. The etched Blue Line graphics and spring-loaded side handles add to the vintage wow-factor, making it a must-have for collectors and players alike.

The front and rear panels are thoughtfully designed with a range of features. Inputs One/Two (Bright/Normal) allow you to connect your instrument, while the Volume control adjusts the overall output level per channel. The Ultra Hi and Ultra Lo features boost high and low frequencies respectively, and the EQ lets you enhance the sound at specific frequencies. The Standby/Power LED, Standby Switch, and Power Switch offer easy operation, while the Power Connector, Polarity Switch, and Fuse provide safety and convenience. The Bias/Balance controls and LEDs allow for user biasing, and the Slave Out, Power Amp In, and Preamp Out features offer versatility in connecting to other equipment. The Level control, Pre/Post Switch, Lift/Gnd feature, and Balanced Out option cater to your output needs, and the Impedance Selector and Speaker Outputs ensure compatibility with your speakers.

In essence, the Heritage Series SVT50 120V US B17-1 Tube Bass Amp Head is a perfect blend of past and present, offering the iconic SVT sound with the convenience of modern features.
