I purchased a P2P camera some time ago, and in a time when getting free support is hard to come by, Kevin helped get my camera video restored. Never asked how long ago it was purchased or if i had an extended warranty. With support like this my next camera, and I own several not mfg'd by Amcreast, will be from Amcrest. Thanks Kevin and Amcrest for taking care of your customers.

I ordered this to replace an old Foscam and saved about a dollar with their "sale" and free shipping. They must have shipped it via FedEx's cheapest way because I was notified when it shipped, three days later, from their office/warehouse about 20 miles from me to the FedEx facility about 15 miles from me. There it sat for about a week, I guess waiting for space available on a truck, and it was delivered. I could have had it in a couple of days, for a couple of bucks more, from Amazon. Oh well, the camera works fine and I'll get a few more as the old ones die.

This camera performs as promised by Amcrest. I have it mounted on a detached garage behind my house covering the entire property. I had to talk with tech support for some help with my router, ( no fault of theirs) and they were more than helpful and polite. As soon as I upgrade my router in a few weeks I'll be ordering more cameras for sure. I love the ability to "check in" on my house from my phone while at work or away.

Pros: 3MP image is very good in daylight, and okay at night with slower shutter speeds. The lense is a very useful (to me) wide angle. The camera body is a nice small size. Software setup menus are way better than Foscam camera menus. Cons: Nighttime IR LEDs don't project very far. I would say around 30' max, not even close to 98' as claimed. Sun shade doesn't slide out far enough to shade the lense very much, which might be by design because of the wide angle lense. The ball and socket mounting bracket is pretty limited. It has a slot that allows the camera to be pivoted 90º in one plane established by the mounting position, but then it can't swiveled any other direction. So you might choose to mount the slot vertically, which allows the camera to be pointed straight out or downward for example, but then it can't be pointed left or right more than a few degrees. And those few degrees are not by design, but just slop in the ball and socket. The maximum resolution for MJPEG streaming (which would allow any computer browser to display camera video) is 640 x 480. So to view the camera in high resolution, one of the three H264 modes must be used. Since Amcrest apparently doesn't have an extension for FireFox or Chrome to support H264 viewing, they have their own very primitive browser like viewing software. It requires you to hand enter the camera's IP address every time you start it, is very slow to respond to clicking the minimize or maximize buttons, etc. Thankfully I have an iPhone with Live Cams Pro, that works well with the IP3M-943, using Amcrest Profile 1 in that software. Despite my many complaints, it was well worth the price and they shipped it super fast at no cost. Pretty amazing.

HD review is supper clear. Desktop application setup is a little bit difficult especially to setup local recording even for a IT Professional. A customer support helped to set it up and running recording fine.

This camera was very easy to setup and the software features were the best I have seen and I have cameras by several different vendors. My only complaint is the wide angle view gives a barrel distortion such that straight lines appear curved the closer you get to the edge of the field of view. Also, the wide angle lens makes things at a distance appear very small. I bough this as an upgrade to my 730p cameral, but will keep the old one for better image.

This camera is my second installation from Amcrest. The first camera was indoor 1080P wifi pan and tilt. This camera worked well day and night with high resolution video voice and sound monitoring. I was happy with that purchase and was secure in my purchase of my second Amcrest camera. I spent about three hours reinatalling the first camera and the new camera to 2 android devices without major difficulty. The new camera is looking out of a second story window frame with a clear vision out to 900ft. The quality of the day images are good to excellent. The night vision is all be non existant. Amcrest support is very difficult to understand. No solution as yet. I will update this review to document what if any solution can be realized.

I only give 3 stars due to the 1080 resolution issue and setup. My camera doesn't seem to have that resolution. It is clear for about 20 ft, then it doesn't look all that great after that. I also am not happy with the night vision. It won't reach past 20 ft. I'm not sure if there is a flaw with this camera. The motion detection seems to work good and I will be putting in a 64gb in it to see if it captures good pictures. Bottom line- I was hoping for a clearer picture and better night vision. Didn't get it.

Installing this camera was a nightmare. The P2P setup does not work. After I wasted a lot of time, I finally had to make a cat 5 patch cable and run it to the camera to set up the wireless (yes, you need to hard-wire to setup the wireless). After that, you have to abandon the P2P totally and use a DDNS setup through your router. If you are not familiar with remote access you have to give them access to your computer and network to set it up for you; really? The camera itself does a great job. Once setup it works great, and the image quality is excellent. I now have both push notifications and email working.

I was very skeptical about getting one of these cameras after reading a large number of reviews talking about issues with e-mail setup, motion detection settings not being saved to the configuration and even the google app not doing anything. I did take a chance and purchased ONE; After the initial set-up (not very difficult) the issues started to show as many people mention on previous posts. I did almost return the camera, however, I started doing a little hands-on research (google) and found the answers to ALL the "issues" with the camera and I tried them one at a time. Everything works flawlessly and I was so much pleased with the camera that I purchased TWO more of them.

The wireless HD video to the NVR is awesome. The ability to look at live feeds or recorded footage via my mobile device is a great feature and works very well. Sorry if this may seem to have taken a while to leave a review, however, I never give a review until I have had time to actually develop an opinion. Now I am completely satisfied with this product and do plan on buying a couple more sometime next year. The picture quality is excellent during the day hours. Night vision is decent as well, however, due to connection issues from my router I had to move it back indoors pointing out the window so I do loose some of the resolution during the night because of the IRs reflecting in the glass/ That issue will be resolved this weekend as I just received my new router and will set up the old one as a repeater if needed, so the cam will be back outside above my carport door. As it is now when I look at the cam running live I can see all the way down the street clearly to my neighbor's driveway which is approximately 125-150 feet from the cam. Wish I could take snapshot of it and upload it for the review.
