Shop nowhere else, Amcrest offers a great products with the best pricing on the market. Sad to say most all of my security system was purchased from another company at a much higher price than I would've paid with Amcrest. I needed to add one more camera to my system and I found that the camera IP4M-1025E from Amcrest was the camera I was looking for. Have to tell you the clarity on this 4 P camera is outstanding. If you want the best security system with the best price look no further than Amcrest.

I have purchased 2 cameras from Amcrest over the last year. The POE 4MP camera has an awesome quality picture and the night vision distance and quality is amazing as well. The cameras are great and function as expected. That being said, The salesman I spoke with was not very well informed so when my POE camera arrived I had to figure out on my own that I also needed a power injector and NOT the splitter he said I needed as my router was not POE supported. So now I have a splitter I don't need. By the time I package it back up, pay the shipping and use my time it just is not worth the hassle for me. The reason I had to figure it out on my own was because the tech support people cant speak understandable English. I called twice hoping to get someone I could understand to no avail and with a 20 to 30 minute wait on hold each time I gave up and researched it myself. Now the e-mails from them wont stop no matter how many times I unsubscribe so I just blocked them totally. There are many many camera brands out there equal to and better than Amcrest I would suggest buying from another maker. The sales staff do speak perfect English tho, funny how that is. Once they have your money your pretty much on your own. There you go Amcrest you pestered me relentlessly for a review and now you got one. Do I still get 5% off my next purchase?

Pros: Very high resolution Simple, durable design Great software, works on the Mac and iPhone Integrates with Blue Iris Cons: Really needs a way to rotate the image down to the degree; only 90 or 180 flips are possible. This made it very difficult to mount. Did not come with wall template as described Would have liked edge recording to SD card (would pay extra) The weather-proof RJ45 cover should really allow a full RJ45 connector to pass through; instead of requiring a bare cable and then putting the end on yourself. Could probably find a third party product that does it.

So far this has proven to be everything I had hoped for and anticipated. The resolution is great and the image is very clean and clear. The only thing I didn't anticipate or wish were different is the weatherproof cashing for the Cat6 line head. The hole for the cap and weatherproof casing is not big enough for the head to funnel through. So you either have to splice the Cat5/6 line and reattach the head, or simply do without the casing (which is what I ended up doing). I may end up just duck-taping it for now.

My outdoor 4 MP POE Bullet camera arrived on time, in a well packaged box. This camera is HD 4 MP at 20 fps. That is amazing for a home security system. It is a huge step up from my 960H system. Set up was a breeze as I have installed a security system in the past. You may need to read the instructions if you have never installed one. I love how it is Power Over Ethernet (POE). It was just one thin line to install. I can view it in real-time on my smart phone. I can even see 160+ feet on night vision. Just download the app and enter your password and you are all set. I love the notification settings. You can set it to only notify you during certain hours on certain days for motion. I have it set only while I am work and I forget about it. This is a great security system and I would recommend it to anyone looking for more security around your house or place of business. You will never have to worry about what is happening as long as you have your smart phone with the app close by. I would recommend this to my family and I will recommend it to you. The only con I found is that it does not have sound. I will update this review if I find anymore cons. I was offered this 4 MP POE Bullet camera at a discount with the purpose of testing it out in order to provide an honest and unbiased review based on my personal experience with the product. Camera is well built and of good quality. However, on the camera I received there is no way to reset to factory defaults short of unscrewing the camera face, laying over the LED set and housing (very delicate wires attached), finding two tiny pads on the PCB and shorting them together. Not an easy task once the camera is mounted under the eve of a house. Also, no documentation for this procedure included or on the net. Had to contact customer service who sent the attached picture.

This camera is performing perfectly. Excellent picture quality and high bitstream rate make for nice video streaming via XSplit. This camera was a replacement for one from the same vendor that after mounting, I discovered it had a broken motion detection system. Sent the original back via a vendor RMA and waiting for either a refund or credit. I still need one more of these cameras as they are part of a proof of concept project I'm working on with a local nature program. Word to the wise from an experienced I.T. Professional. Test your cameras in the lab before installing. Golden rule and after 30 years, I forgot. Duh! Before moving to the actual forest installation, which includes solar panel DC chargers for the camera's, POE switch, router and Internet uplink for both fringe cellular connectivity plus satellite uplinking, here is a picture taken from the cameras from a motion activated recording to demonstrate their clarity. These are 1080/720 1080p, not the full resolution capability of the camera. If a fixed focus length and non PnZ camera with 67 rated weather resistance is what you need, they are great.

Very pleased with this Camera. It was a huge upgrade over my old camera and this had everything I needed. Outdoor/waterproof, POE support, Onvif compatible (very important to me), nightvision and a mobile phone view. I used this with another DVR I purchased, and I have in the past had some struggles with non onvif compatible units and some units that claimed they were compatible and did not function properly. For those of you that do not know ONVIF is a standard for communication of devices in the IP camera world and makes the units talk to each other easily and somewhat plug and play. So in a nutshell you can mount this and connect the POE to your network and if you have a ONVIF DVR the DVR will be able to find it and add it to the views without you dealing with network addressing, dhcp, dns, etc. It also allows for easy remote upgrades, configuration, and setting modifications in the camera, and when it all works it is a huge timesaver!

I am using this to keep track of the comings and goings of my driveway. It replaced a 720 p camera that worked very well but still had difficulty making out license plate numbers. This solved that problem and was super easy to use. Just swapped out the poe cable and installed the software and was good to go. I received this at a discount for my unbiased review.

I bought this camera (black) primarily to be placed outdoors, I also have a D-Link DCS-5009L for inside monitoring. Picture Quality This is a full HD security camera making sure that you're getting the highest quality recordings possible which is definitely a plus for my neighbourhood. I am please to say the camera does provide the increase in image quality expected, at least compared to the Dlink. This camera also provides a wider field of view. Night mode is also acceptable and the image quality under the IR LED's is good. Build Quality The housing and camera mount feel well made, no plastic parts. Wall mounting plugs are also provided. It is also well packaged. Outdoor Suitability It is very durable since the housing is made of metal.The water doesn't blur the lens since the cover prevents this from happening and the cover can also be adjusted to block sunlight. Considering this, I would say this is a very suitable camera for outdoor usage. Software The Amcrest software worked easily the first time and allowed me to configure the camera all from one software. The software is fine, and enables mobile access for people. Which if you have a number of the cameras enables you to set up motion and sound detection around the house/site you are monitoring. I would rate the software very highly as well. There are 3 ways to control the camera, using PC software, using the free google play or apple store IP cam apps on your phone, or using a web interface if you do not have the PC software. Summary Camera image is good, night mode is good, build quality good Camera compatibility with third party applications also very good Firmware within the camera has good functionality Very good Outdoor suitability as outlined above Overall this camera is a great addition to my home security system and provides excellent quality recordings with notifications to my smartphone and email when there is motion. I bought this camera at a discounted price for my honest opinion. I loved the camera so much that I bought one at full price and gifted one to my sister who recently had a baby. So I can comment here about the price as well: I believe the price tag justifies functionality and it is completely worth it.

I have another AMCREST camera and it's very impressive as it has high definition resolution. It captures really good pictures and videos as compared to my other camera. With 4 megapixel, the pictures are crisp, bright and colorful. The details are so clear and reliable. I like that it has 83 degrees wide angle and this is really ideal for wider areas. The coverage for night vision is long which is more than 100 feet! Yet, what impressed me most is that you can view it on your phone using the Amcrest View Lite app or AMCREST View Pro App. The View Pro App is better as it contains features such as push notifications, sharing video and image files, exporting video in MP4 format, and exporting image files to your phone. It can stream, record and playback videos in full HD. I like that it automatically records videos when motion is detected and it sends alerts on your mobile. Just take note that, however you want to connect the camera, it has to be through Power Over Ethernet (POE) jack on your router. My husband was actually the one who installed the camera. This 4MP POE bullet camera is heavy duty with aluminum housing which could stand the changing weather. It's 6 inches long by 2.4 inches in diameter. It has some weight and has great construction. So far, I'm so happy with my purchase and would strongly recommend it! I received this product at a discounted price in exchange for my honest/unbiased review during its promotional period. There are many options for security cameras and you should purchase one to suit your specific needs. This camera isn't marketed as having Wifi or Audio so I don't think it should be faulted for not having them. The Amcrest ProHD IP4m-1025E is a high quality camera well-constructed with a sealed metal housing. It mounts easily and is highly adjustable like my other cameras. I have mostly Hikvision cameras and use Blueiris. There were no options for this Amcrest model in Blueiris, but it was still easy to setup. Choose RTSP H.264/MJPG/MPEG4 and input, "h264Preview_01_main" into the Video Path field. Enter in the IP, port, username, and password accordingly and that's it! The image quality is exceptional in both daylight and nighttime. I love that it's powered by Power over Ethernet. All my other cameras use POE and it's just the best option when you want a clean installation. Setting up this camera was a real pleasure in comparison to Hikvisions. They always require a bit more tinkering to get setup. The Amcrest software worked easily the first time and allowed me to configure the camera all from one software. I was able to login through the web interface as well. This camera comes setup with DHCP enabled, so it makes it easier to work with your network without having to manually set IP's. However, it's recommended to set a static IP after you've configured everything so it's more stable. This camera is a great option for beginners and tinkerers alike. If you don't use Blueiris, you'll appreciate the built in options for motion detection, alerts, backup, and cloud access (fee). I received this item for free in exchange for an honest review.

I have to start by saying how crisp the video is from this camera. I was in the market for an outdoor rated, night vision, poe camera and I came across this one. The power over ethernet, poe, is a must for me since i don't have power where the camera was to be mounted. I thought of wifi but would rather the assurance of the cable being always connected and not having to worry about dropped signals or interruptions. However, there is a separate power cable if you would rather use it (but the adapter isn't included). This camera seems very well made and has a nice aluminum build to it with not a lot of weight. Installation was extremely simple, with mounting hardware included, three screws, and I ran the ethernet cable. The connection to the camera is also waterproof via a capsule, so you'll have to crimp your own cat 5, or similar, cable in order to use it because otherwise you won't be able to get the cable with the head through this capsule, so be ready to crimp your own if you want to use it outdoors. The camera connected to my network instantly and was up and running right away. This is where the fun comes in. The software requires that you have more than basic knowledge of skill. There are a lot of options to learn about and it's not really a plug and play camera, whicb is great. You can set a different recording schedule for each day of the week as well as with different time schedules and the whole 9. There are so many options,its almost pro grade. The good part is if you want basic setup, it does work with other recording software (like ipspy and blue iris) which are both easier to use. I stayed with the included software because of all the options. They also have a mobile app for both platforms which works well. The desktop plug-in doesn't seem to work with chrome and is annoying, hopefully they fix that soon but with a mac it works great. Cloud recording is offered free, I believe 4gb a month is included for now, and is a great option to get alerts for motion and watch the playback. If you need more space, there is a pay option. However, I setup remote access very easily and am able to keep a live stream going or login to my remote server and check the playback, but the app is so much easier than doing all that. The tricky part is properly setting up motion detection with the tight sensitivity level and threshold, without doing so your camera will alert you a thousand times a day. This was the hardest part but once set, it's awesome. I did notice that with some third party software the video quality degraded to a very grainy picture, but a simple reset on the camera fixed it and this is not an issue using the provided software and is not the fault of the camera. One negative that I wish they included was audio. I love this camera, the software is option loaded and the video quality blows everyone away when they see it. But I wish they included audio output on this model, maybe the next one will have it. I still have to learn everything that the software can do but for now motion detection with email and app alerts is all I need! Highly recommend this for anyone looking for a great camera at a great price! I received this at a discount for an honest and unbiased review. The desktop installation software needs to be updated for Windows 10 and Edge Browser. I had to go back to a old Explorer browser to get the "plugin" installed. Also, it only displays video using explorer.
