Shop nowhere else, Amcrest offers a great products with the best pricing on the market. Sad to say most all of my security system was purchased from another company at a much higher price than I would've paid with Amcrest. I needed to add one more camera to my system and I found that the camera IP4M-1025E from Amcrest was the camera I was looking for. Have to tell you the clarity on this 4 P camera is outstanding. If you want the best security system with the best price look no further than Amcrest.

Set up two 4 MP and 2 MP recording to a Amcrest NVR. I am not the greatest when it comes to computers but was able to do it as a DIY job. Equipment is very well made and also the software seems to be very well written. Initial NVR and camera set up, PC software install and device setup, remote access set up thru the mobile app and browser all done and will give a high 9 out of 10. Would've given a 10 but took me a little time to navigate thru P2P, DDNS, TCP/IP .. all this technical jargon. Would recommend using simple, grand ma friendly terminology so it gets thru to every one. You can translate these to specific technical terms in a manual as much as needed.

I just did my 1st install with 4 white Amcrest Bullet Outdoor 4-megapixel PoE cameras and Amcrest NVR and could not be more pleased. Installed for my customer, did a little training and haven't heard from them except to say how much they like the system.

I have purchased 2 cameras from Amcrest over the last year. The POE 4MP camera has an awesome quality picture and the night vision distance and quality is amazing as well. The cameras are great and function as expected. That being said, The salesman I spoke with was not very well informed so when my POE camera arrived I had to figure out on my own that I also needed a power injector and NOT the splitter he said I needed as my router was not POE supported. So now I have a splitter I don't need. By the time I package it back up, pay the shipping and use my time it just is not worth the hassle for me. The reason I had to figure it out on my own was because the tech support people cant speak understandable English. I called twice hoping to get someone I could understand to no avail and with a 20 to 30 minute wait on hold each time I gave up and researched it myself. Now the e-mails from them wont stop no matter how many times I unsubscribe so I just blocked them totally. There are many many camera brands out there equal to and better than Amcrest I would suggest buying from another maker. The sales staff do speak perfect English tho, funny how that is. Once they have your money your pretty much on your own. There you go Amcrest you pestered me relentlessly for a review and now you got one. Do I still get 5% off my next purchase?

I bought the camera for its specs, reviews and the price. Accessing the camera with browser login was fairly straight forward except for having to download a plugin to see the video stream, which really is a separate app that you have to open to actually log in. It was like pulling teeth to get it to work with iSpy IP cam software. But finally found RSTP://:@:/cam/realmonitor?channel=&subtype= (example: RSTP://admin:admin@:/cam/realmonitor?channel=1&subtype=0, (where 0= main feed and 1 = sub feed) ). a few main reasons I did not give it 5 stars: 1. The built in software does not seem to function completely (might be my issue not understanding how some of it is supposed to work.) could not get motion sensing and many other features to work 2. Nowhere on the website did i find any mention to the 12V power input plug that is on the back of the camera. the camera is advertised as a POE only camera and as such should not have a 12V power connector on the back yet it does. I have so many extra 12V wall plugs and outlets near locations I want my cameras I could have saved my self money NOT buying a POE switch. just one photo of the input cabling would have solved the issue for me. 3. I tried to use the Amcrest surveillance pro software and after an hour clicking every link and button I finally stumbled on how to get the camera to show up. Then tried to get the NVR software to work only to find that you have to add it the the PC to the surveillance software as a device first. Once I got the software working I tried to install it on another PC only to get the missing MSvcr100.dll error so I finally gave up on that software and went back to iSpy, too bad it seemed promising. 4. The mounting bracket for the camera does not allow for rotate. It will allow adjustment for tilt but to swivel it after it is screwed to a surface you have to unscrew it and make new holes and reattach the screws, bad design. There are many great features with this little camera too bad the literature, bugs and tech support make for tough install for a novice like me.

I bought this camera because the specs for this camera describe built-in audio. However I was not able to get the audio stream to work with Blue Iris DVR software. There is no reference to audio in the Amcrest camera setup software. The video quality is truly amazing, with a wide field of view, but for surveillance applications, audio monitoring is essential.

I added this camera to my system which is overseen by Blue Iris software. The resolution is the highest in my network of 17 camera and I am very happy with it. It's been out there for a couple months now, no problems. No complaints.

Pros: Very high resolution Simple, durable design Great software, works on the Mac and iPhone Integrates with Blue Iris Cons: Really needs a way to rotate the image down to the degree; only 90 or 180 flips are possible. This made it very difficult to mount. Did not come with wall template as described Would have liked edge recording to SD card (would pay extra) The weather-proof RJ45 cover should really allow a full RJ45 connector to pass through; instead of requiring a bare cable and then putting the end on yourself. Could probably find a third party product that does it.

So far this has proven to be everything I had hoped for and anticipated. The resolution is great and the image is very clean and clear. The only thing I didn't anticipate or wish were different is the weatherproof cashing for the Cat6 line head. The hole for the cap and weatherproof casing is not big enough for the head to funnel through. So you either have to splice the Cat5/6 line and reattach the head, or simply do without the casing (which is what I ended up doing). I may end up just duck-taping it for now.

My outdoor 4 MP POE Bullet camera arrived on time, in a well packaged box. This camera is HD 4 MP at 20 fps. That is amazing for a home security system. It is a huge step up from my 960H system. Set up was a breeze as I have installed a security system in the past. You may need to read the instructions if you have never installed one. I love how it is Power Over Ethernet (POE). It was just one thin line to install. I can view it in real-time on my smart phone. I can even see 160+ feet on night vision. Just download the app and enter your password and you are all set. I love the notification settings. You can set it to only notify you during certain hours on certain days for motion. I have it set only while I am work and I forget about it. This is a great security system and I would recommend it to anyone looking for more security around your house or place of business. You will never have to worry about what is happening as long as you have your smart phone with the app close by. I would recommend this to my family and I will recommend it to you. The only con I found is that it does not have sound. I will update this review if I find anymore cons. I was offered this 4 MP POE Bullet camera at a discount with the purpose of testing it out in order to provide an honest and unbiased review based on my personal experience with the product. Camera is well built and of good quality. However, on the camera I received there is no way to reset to factory defaults short of unscrewing the camera face, laying over the LED set and housing (very delicate wires attached), finding two tiny pads on the PCB and shorting them together. Not an easy task once the camera is mounted under the eve of a house. Also, no documentation for this procedure included or on the net. Had to contact customer service who sent the attached picture.

This camera is performing perfectly. Excellent picture quality and high bitstream rate make for nice video streaming via XSplit. This camera was a replacement for one from the same vendor that after mounting, I discovered it had a broken motion detection system. Sent the original back via a vendor RMA and waiting for either a refund or credit. I still need one more of these cameras as they are part of a proof of concept project I'm working on with a local nature program. Word to the wise from an experienced I.T. Professional. Test your cameras in the lab before installing. Golden rule and after 30 years, I forgot. Duh! Before moving to the actual forest installation, which includes solar panel DC chargers for the camera's, POE switch, router and Internet uplink for both fringe cellular connectivity plus satellite uplinking, here is a picture taken from the cameras from a motion activated recording to demonstrate their clarity. These are 1080/720 1080p, not the full resolution capability of the camera. If a fixed focus length and non PnZ camera with 67 rated weather resistance is what you need, they are great.

Very pleased with this Camera. It was a huge upgrade over my old camera and this had everything I needed. Outdoor/waterproof, POE support, Onvif compatible (very important to me), nightvision and a mobile phone view. I used this with another DVR I purchased, and I have in the past had some struggles with non onvif compatible units and some units that claimed they were compatible and did not function properly. For those of you that do not know ONVIF is a standard for communication of devices in the IP camera world and makes the units talk to each other easily and somewhat plug and play. So in a nutshell you can mount this and connect the POE to your network and if you have a ONVIF DVR the DVR will be able to find it and add it to the views without you dealing with network addressing, dhcp, dns, etc. It also allows for easy remote upgrades, configuration, and setting modifications in the camera, and when it all works it is a huge timesaver!

I am using this to keep track of the comings and goings of my driveway. It replaced a 720 p camera that worked very well but still had difficulty making out license plate numbers. This solved that problem and was super easy to use. Just swapped out the poe cable and installed the software and was good to go. I received this at a discount for my unbiased review.

I bought this camera (black) primarily to be placed outdoors, I also have a D-Link DCS-5009L for inside monitoring. Picture Quality This is a full HD security camera making sure that you're getting the highest quality recordings possible which is definitely a plus for my neighbourhood. I am please to say the camera does provide the increase in image quality expected, at least compared to the Dlink. This camera also provides a wider field of view. Night mode is also acceptable and the image quality under the IR LED's is good. Build Quality The housing and camera mount feel well made, no plastic parts. Wall mounting plugs are also provided. It is also well packaged. Outdoor Suitability It is very durable since the housing is made of metal.The water doesn't blur the lens since the cover prevents this from happening and the cover can also be adjusted to block sunlight. Considering this, I would say this is a very suitable camera for outdoor usage. Software The Amcrest software worked easily the first time and allowed me to configure the camera all from one software. The software is fine, and enables mobile access for people. Which if you have a number of the cameras enables you to set up motion and sound detection around the house/site you are monitoring. I would rate the software very highly as well. There are 3 ways to control the camera, using PC software, using the free google play or apple store IP cam apps on your phone, or using a web interface if you do not have the PC software. Summary Camera image is good, night mode is good, build quality good Camera compatibility with third party applications also very good Firmware within the camera has good functionality Very good Outdoor suitability as outlined above Overall this camera is a great addition to my home security system and provides excellent quality recordings with notifications to my smartphone and email when there is motion. I bought this camera at a discounted price for my honest opinion. I loved the camera so much that I bought one at full price and gifted one to my sister who recently had a baby. So I can comment here about the price as well: I believe the price tag justifies functionality and it is completely worth it.
