Easy Setup, Great Picture. This is a all around great camera. With 4K, there is plenty of resolution. One thing that is rarely mentioned is build quality. This thing is solid and well built. To adjust the mount, it is one screw. Tighten is up and it doesn't move. I also own one of the newer bullet cameras and that too is a solid mount with one screw that solidly locks it in place. I would recommend and I may buy another.

I was replacing two older 780P outdoor cameras. I configured these first inside the house to make sure everything was working. Then, removed the old cameras and installed the new ones using the same holes.

I always suggest to clients and friends/family to use AMCREST cameras. I've always used 1080p cameras, but I recently decided to install a 4k camera in the back of my house to be monitored by my NAS camera server. The image quality of this camera far surpasses the highest end 1080p cameras I've used. I can zoom in and actually see extreme detail in the videos. I plan on upgrading all the rest of my cameras to these 4k cameras in the next few months. PoE is extremely stable, and the night vision IR spread is very impressive.

Cost me almost the whole price of the camera to get it shipped to Mexico. Needed this security camera, so we paid the price, but will NOT be purchasing anymore because of this. Will be getting another brand.

It’s okay, I now own 3 camera but this camera is my first time for outdoor backyard only, 2 camera inside. I gave it 3 stars because I have problem with the video detection, I filled orange in the tiny boxes and next day they are gone. I will call support and see what they can do to fix it.

This camera system is great for a wide angle view and decent night vision. I have had no luck capturing license plates on cars that are blowing through a stop sign in front of my house. Biggest issue is with Amcrest not being able to supply me with a camera that has the quality that we need for this feature.

Although this is an outdoor camera we used this camera to monitor the inside of our studio. The 112 degree viewing angles were perfect to catch the full width of our rehearsal studios. It made it easier for us to track everything as we have a lot of traffic going in and out. The video quality is way better and clearer than our older security camera, especially the night vision. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who's looking for high quality security cameras at a very reasonable price!

What I've got right here is a cool piece of tech. It's a  4k streaming security camera, with all sorts of cool specs, like HDR, night vision (B/W and Color, which works much better than I anticipated), full streaming at up to 30fps. Motion Detection/Tampering/Audio alerts and so many customization/options it can be mind boggling.  All in a nice smooth, solid aluminum housing for a sleek stealthy look. I have learned that with IOT things, and especially something that is for, well...security, should be secure. So with that in mind, I first hooked the camera up to my router, and a 12v power pack. Using the Amcrest Mobile View Pro app (Android), and switched the admin password, set the IP to static, and upgraded the firmware. I noticed that the picture quality is very sharp with a nice contrast for easily seeing details. Even with the lower framerate compared to broadcast cameras, the motion still looked natural and fluid with no noticeable pixelation or artifacts. I then let it run for awhile, tinkering with the myraid of settings, while I decided that the next step will be hooking it up to my Amcrest NVR, which was as simple as hooking it up to a POE port, and the NVR will automatically add it to its sytem. (NOTE: ensure you also update the password that you gave the camera in your NVR's menu for it. This ensures it communicates with it. I found out the long way.) From within the NVR, or the previous mentioned app, or even the Amcrest Surveillance Pro program (Windows), all features and options of the camera will be available to control. (NOTE: they layouts between all three programs are a bit different, and will take some hunting around to find. Updating the firmware helps this greatly as well.) I was then able to go through and install the camera, right on an area (driveway in front of a garage) that while the 2.8mm lens will be great for a wider shot,  a 4.0mm for a more up close shots like license plates or faces, but so far, it seems to work very well, thanks to advanced backlighting as well as other options to get a great view. I have included a couple shots to attempt to show this.  I then set up the camera's settings for the area, including motion detection areas. It has performed flawlessly ever since. Overall, this is a solid, very high quality camera, that can do it with the best of them. Amcrest has some of the best hardware out there, and this is a prime example. I can only highly recommend this camera to anyone that has been debating on the purchase.

This camera is an amazing deal. This weatherized 4K security camera is housed in a rugged enclosure and provides a reliable high quality picture day and night. I am confident it will withstand the test of time in our harsh weather climate. I already had cat6 cabling running throughout the home from an existing security system, so the install and connection setup was fairly easy. The body of the camera is made of solid metal and it is easy to mount and aim the fixture. This camera replaced a 2K security camera that captured video of the garage and driveway of our home. The video resolution is a huge improvement over the 2K camera it replaced. The video quality and definition during the day is quite impressive and the night vision is so much better than our older camera which was somewhat grainy and blurred. I was initially contemplating using 2 cameras to capture the video from the front of our house due to our wide driveway, but the 112 degree field of view is perfect to capture the width of the driveway and a portion of the front door. I would definitely recommend this camera to anyone who is looking to invest in a high quality outdoor camera system. Great value! I will be purchasing a few more of these to upgrade the other outdoor cameras in our home security system.

Currently owning an Amcrest indoor dome camera, I wanted to try and install a fixed one in the porch, as I have had several issues with delivery drivers (not naming any companies, but I think we all know who!) leaving parcels in “safe places”. Installation was easy as can be, although be aware, you may need a back box, otherwise you will have to bore a large hole through the wall to fit the RJ45 waterproof connector in properly. We purchased a universal backbox for about £10, and works well. I can remotely view my camera from work, or anywhere in the world (how cool). I didn’t need to do anything special, other than connect it to my home network. The camera automatically configures what it needs to allow it to be accessible via the Amcrest app. Certainly would recommend, especially considering the build quality and price bracket.

Initially my journey to owning an Amcrest camera for the first time did not go so well. I was having power issues, and confirmed it wasn’t my POE injector nor the POE switch. One quick communication attempt with Amcrest and a replacement camera was on it’s way! Since then I’ve had no further issues. Their Application is OK, but I think it could be better, perhaps something similar to the Nest timeline? But again, there is plenty of room for improvement on a fully featured 4K camera. One other thing I dislike is that if you want to browse to the web interface, you have to use their own chrome plug-in browser. I would like to see it move to something universal, but I appreciate most camera vendors have this issue, so it’s not a downfall per say. I work in the Tech industry, and have installed various systems from Hikivion to your Cloud based YI and Nest Cameras etc, and in summary Amcrest is a running competitor.

#1 IT HAS A MIC BUILT IN, not sure why they don't make a big deal out of that considering this is the only outdoor model with a mic. Now I have to take a bullet camera down that I just bought to add another one of these lol. I love having the mic so I can hear my daughter in the yard. #2 works great with BlueIris like all the other Amcrest cameras. #3 At high res it does great at not taking up too much bandwidth, I have 2mp cameras at the same settings that take up way more.

I purchased this camera for my business to cover the shop front, and it has not failed to impress. It’s nicely tucked away in the corner so it doesn’t feel like its too intrusive when the customers come in. It covers a wide angle of the shop front which is why I went for the 2.8mm lens. Installation was very easy, I had to create a sandwich between some plywood and the suspended fireproof ceiling, and it holds well. I’ve got a SD card installed which captures the footage and managed via Amcrest’s app. I think for security it’s probably worth investing in their cloud solution too. Overall, really pleased and would recommend. If you’re in doubt, just give it a go, what have you got to lose. Customer Service is great if you ever need assistance.

Being the tin foil hat man that I am, I was a bit sceptical in terms of having CCTV in my home, but I took the plunge, you can never be too secure right? Well, I’ve been missing out on a lot of technology as this camera has more features than you’ll ever need. So far I’ve customised the app to record only on motion detection, right back to my server using iSpy. I’ve restricted firewall access so that it solely captures locally only, however if you want remote access, you can use their HTTPS pass through or you can punch through the ports yourself. Night vision is great, and provides a reasonable distance, I wouldn’t say it as far as mentioned, well it is, but obviously you’ll start to lose clarity in the night, but is does an exceptional job regardless.

One thing I love about this camera, and the fact that it has made it an exceptional product is the separate IR beam for night vision. My previous dome had the IR encompassed inside the dome lens, however this sometimes created a slight glare. This turret has removed that glare entirely. My internet connection isn’t that fastest at home, therefore connecting to it remotely can be a challenge, however I am running the free month of the cloud and via 4G viewing footage is responsive, which works for me. I went for the 2.8mm lens, so I have a wide view of the surroundings, if I needed to zoom in more, I would have gone for the 4mm version, but that kind of defeats the purpose. Image capture at 4k is very good anyway, so if I did want to zoom in, I could, without losing much clarity. Love it!

I am impressed with the connectivity options present with this turret camera. It’s built well, and works well with the Amcrest Pro app! Installation is a doddle, although you need to make sure that you can drill straight into your fascias, or you’ll need a back box. I’ve put a 64GB microSD card for local footage, but may give the cloud a try, for once! Overall, well designed, and strong enough to withstand a beating, would recommend!

Installation was not that difficult, as I had the local handyman come and fit it for me just outside the front door, so I can see who comes and goes at the front of the street. I downloaded the Amcrest Pro app for my phone, added the camera which it found on my network, and then away it went. I can even watch the camera remotely from wherever I am in the world, now that’s awesome. Night vision on the camera has been quite good and clear, we have street lights opposite so that always helps too. I installed a memory card inside the camera before it was installed, so I have some local recording set up on it as well, so far I’m using the free month of Amcrest’s cloud solution, and I am quite impressed. I can easily track back to motion detection and see what was going on. If all their products are like this, I might invest in a few more around the home. Thank you for developing a camera that’s reasonably priced, and doesn’t cost the earth to run!

Great quality camera! I've been wanting to upgrade my old foscam 720p for quite a while and got a starter LaView/Hikvision PoE kit with two 2MP and two 4MP. Heard good review about their 2MP night vision, but it was a big disappointment of the package. I was able to grab one of these which was great that it has audio function as well that my current setup is lacking. Video quality is great for 4K and H265 transcode are great! many cool features and easy setup with my Synology NAS without having to run any software host on a PC and running 24/7. So far it works great 24/7, very stable and no distortion or flickering.

I was after a camera for my property and decided I wanted a 4K camera. All the other ones I saw cost quite a lot more. I only bought one as I wanted to know I liked them before buying more and I will definitely be buying a few more for around the rest of my property before to much longer. Very easy to get going and has a lot of features. The image quality is amazing and the mic picks up anything (which is a good thing). Definitely recommend this camera.

I bought 5 cameras, it's very easy to setup the cameras. Very clear image and very good night view. I didn't like surveillance pro software, had no success to setup motion detection. I'm using Ivideon instead, for my purpose it's making a better job.

I was surprised that I could not swivel the lens ball to 0° or parallel with mounting surface. About 7-1/2° was a close as I could get. For my application I need for the camera to point parallel or level with the ceiling. As a result I will be fashioning a mounting bracket with a minimum of 7-1/2° angle. I suppose if I design my bracket correctly it will allow some of the heat this thing generates to escape. That's another thing that surprised me--it runs hotter that I expected; however, I'm a total novice so have no idea what is considered normal. Otherwise the camera seems to be functioning correctly. So far all I've done is hook it up and verify that it produces an image at night.
