We purchased this set after much research and review of the systems available on the market and were not disappointed. The ease of install, easy connecting and quality made us very satisfied!

I started looking into IP cameras early in 2011 when my wife was pregnant with our twins and said she would like a baby monitor with video. Being in IT for over 20 years, I told her I could do so much more than a cheap stand alone baby monitor. My first purchase was 5 well reviewed Foscam cameras, low resolution, but overall good cameras and much better than a store bought baby monitor. I also purchased Blue Iris to monitor and manage everything and setup VPN secure remote access to our house so we could monitor from anywhere we were. After a couple years I started looking into higher resolution cameras and purchased an off brand due to its high resolution and budget price. Resolution was good, but the software was terrible, even though it did work with Blue Iris, it just would stay connected. Then, a little over a year ago, I came across Amcrest and read favorable reviews. I wanted to start putting cameras up outside the house and, working as a network engineer, I loved that Amcrest supported standard based Power Over Ethernet, which would allow me to connect the Amcrest cameras to my Cisco switches. I bought one to try out to monitor our driveway. I was very impressed with the build quality, outstanding resolution, and excellent software. I added two more earlier this year to monitor our children's playset since we cannot see it from inside the house. My wife loves the new cameras outside so much she asked when I was going to put up more so we can monitor the entire yard. I bought in on Amcrest Cyber Deals and saved a bunch by buying a kit with 4 more PoE outside cameras with an included NVR. The purchase was quick and Amcrest was very fast at shopping too. I didn't think I would use the NVR, but, I have decided it can simplify my installation. I tested the NVR with Blue Iris and was successful at mapping to each of the 4 channels using RTSP. I can now run a single Ethernet drop to a strategic location for the NVR, and then feed the 4 new cameras directly off of the NVR itself. I can't say enough good things about Amcrest. I have so many friends asking me now if they can pay me to design and install a system for them. If it weren't for ILLINOIS insane licensing laws, I would in a heartbeat. Not a friendly state for small business owners, can't wait to get out.

We have a 3 year old system that cost thousands and this one is better, the app interface is way better and push notifications are way faster alerts than email, although the email with snapshot are good also, only one week in but very satisfied with this system.

Very happy with this system. Brings a lot of peace of mind for my house. The kit gives you everything you need. PoE is built right into the NVR. They provide you with several long ethernet cables and the cameras provide very good picture quality. I wish the web view was a bit more flexible and worked with different screen resolutions past 1080p but it's not a big deal at all. Overall, extremely happy with the price to performance ratio!

Had this system installed by a professional. I had purchased this system based on his recommendation that Amcrest systems were of good quality and they had good customer service. After installation, I was blown away by the clarity of these cameras. It was too late in the afternoon to contact customer service for help with iPhone software. On Sunday afternoon, called in and talked with Cliff Hoyer. He expertly guided me thru the proves and even tweaked my system. He is great! I am very pleased with both the system and the customer service.

Quality cameras, excellent picture. Easy setup except for going through the attic, but will be easier for someone who isn’t old and doesn’t have a junky attic. Very pleased with the equipment, price, and service.
