I chose amcrest NVR system and cameras due to its features of motion detection and alerts the grid system for setting alerts is very useful. The p o e system is very easy to set up. The manual however is not very user-friendly and confusing at times especially when troubleshooting motion alerts not being sent to the mobile app. Receiving motion alerts on the mobile phone is very useful even though the app off and crashes. Contacting customer support takes a long time several days, and by the time they respond I have already figured out the solution, in this case it took me two weeks to finally get the system and motion alerts working properly. I chose amcrest NVR and POS system because of the app being able to receive both locations camera mirroring which is a great feature but the app crashes often even with the latest update. this is my second NVR system or two locations

The surveillance system arrived in two shipments and was well packaged. The installation with PoE was straight forward. I choose PoE since the house had no power outlets where I positioned the cameras. The cameras have a good field of view and covered the areas nicely. Alan

I chat with Mr.RICHARD REESE sales and tech representative @ AMCREST who is with through and in-depth knowledge about ANALOG, IP,POE, CLOUD,WIRELESS, PVR and DVR systems and he explained me about over an hour as to how to choose a best system that suits my needs Thanks for great help in choosing a right system for me. I really appreciate the kind of patience, compassion and service motto Mr.Richard has towards the company and its customers. BRAVO ! Mr.Richard .

This 8ch Amcrest POE DVR and camera combo is a great product. The cameras linked easily to the dvr and the dvr is very user friendly.

The AMCREST NVR kit is fantastic, plug and play is exactly what it is. If I did have any questions on the setup, their website has every answer you need for a successful setup and operation. So far no problems. Love the remote viewing from my iPhone.

This is hard to believe... but it happened... I started installing the cameras around my home and only got 1 camera in before night fell... but that one camera catch my neighbor's pickup truck being stolen off the street. Amazingly there is just enough lighting were i live that the camera stays in full color all night long. the pickup was parked about 300 feet away but still the quality when zoomed in was good enough to see them stealing the truck. Since then i have the rest of the cameras on line now and the night vision is great. I now have 6 Amcrest system installed in 3 facilities for work.

I am really pleased with the system so far, the setup was really simple and practical, Sales Rep Amanda Lawson was very patient and guided me through the whole process. I wish this unity was more open to work with Smart hubs. Overall it was the best bang for the buck that I find out there. Definitely recommend their products.

The system is great. I got it all hooked up with little to no issues. The UI is easy to use. The camera's all look really clear. Only issue I seem to have is hooking up a non-amcrest camera to the NVR. Other than that, its great and I am completely happy with my purchase.

One year ago I purchased an 8 channel 720p system which I left at the house moved from. At my new home I have the 8 channel 3MP system. I really like this system much better. I went with the POE cameras this time. Clarity is so that you can see leaves blowing in the wind. Amcrest does a wonderful job of packing the camera system. They are sturdy aluminum cameras. The e-mail setup and app live-view is great. I can see every corner of my house.

Good Quality NVR, Nice cameras. GUI could use some improvement. All network cables included. Difficult to use FOSCAM cameras with the NVR, simple with the included Amcrest cameras.

So far this is working great. I have a four camera system but am currently using only one. Daytime viewing is sharp and clear, nighttime has decent range. I would like a bit more 'field of view' but I may look at a different camera for that specific application.

I have had this for a week now. The install was easy the customer service has been good. I really like the product. I only have had one set back, it was with the setup of the software and trying to get the setting just right. Mostly it's just hard to know some of the terms they use.
