Nice sturdy metal case, but the POE power supply to each port quit. But it worked fine for 5 years. Now it just functions as a little LAN hub.

I hooked it up to one of the ports on my router via a 150ft cat 5 cable and the cam is working just fine. (DO NOT CONNECT ADDITIONAL POWER SUPPLY to the camera!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

This 10/100 Base POE switch works well with my 4k@30fps PoE camera. I have my camera on a 100ft CAT6 and did not even have to switch on the ?extended? mode. Doing the math - it should be able to support four 4k@30fps cameras without any issues. It has a sturdy metal case unlike the cheaper plastic ones I have seen.

This 4 port network switch is built with high quality as you can tell once you have it in your hand. It has some weight to it and feels very sturdy. The ports are labeled clearly and you simply plug it into your network, power it on, and then add whatever devices require 802.3af/at. Personally, since my router does not support POE of any degree I plug this into my network extender which allows me to add any additional cameras or other devices I want to include on my network so I can configure them without having to get my POE injector out and then hooking up one device at a time. The only true issue I have with this device is it has a switch on the front labeled: default/extend. I have no idea what this does as the documentation mentions nothing other than its existence. After using my magnifying glass to read the documentation I deduced there maybe something on their website or I will need to ask tech support.
