Do not purchase for charging!

I was under the impression that this device provides multiple USB charging ports from a single one. This is not the case! It may be reliable/fast for data transfer, but the charging speed is slow to the point of it being almost detrimental to battery life. Unfortunately there just doesn't seem to be a mainstream product that splits 1 USB-A port into multiple and lets them charge several devices at once.
