Designed with a dual rail system, this KVM switch features an independent sliding 19" LCD monitor and keyboard/touch pad modules. This unique design allows the keyboard/touch pad module to slide back and "hide away" when not in use, maximizing space in your data center. The slim profile LCD monitor can rotate back, flush against the rack, for convenient monitoring of computer activity.
Switching computer access is quick and convenient with station and port selection pushbutton switches located on the keyboard module. Even when the keyboard module is retracted, you can still switch access with the Port Up/Port Down pushbuttons on the monitor module.
The Aten CL5808N KVM switch supports both PS/2 and USB keyboards and mice for the connected computers, and also allows USB peripheral devices to be used with the attached computers. A single unit can control up to 8 computers, but with the daisy chain capability, as many as 31 additional compatible KVM switches can be connected, allowing control of up to 256 computers from a single keyboard, monitor, and mouse console.
