The KL1508AiN 8-Port 19" Dual Rail Cat5 LCD KVM Over IP Switch is a sophisticated control unit designed to provide secure access to up to 8 computers from a single KVM (keyboard, video, and mouse) console. This unit features an integrated LED-backlit LCD monitor, keyboard, and touchpad, all housed in a 1U rack-mountable retractable sliding structure. The unique design of the KL1508AiN allows the LCD and keyboard/touchpad modules to slide independently, optimizing space in your data center. When not in use, the keyboard/touchpad module can slide back to "hide away," and the slim-profile LCD monitor can rotate back flush against the rack, enabling convenient monitoring of computer activity. This KVM switch stands out with its IP-based connectivity, which allows both local and remote operators to monitor and access the computers on your installation. Leveraging TCP/IP as its communications protocol, the KL1508AiN can be accessed from any computer on the LAN, WAN, or Internet, making it an ideal solution for managing servers located anywhere in the world. The KL1508AiN utilizes compact, high-density RJ-45 connectors and Cat5e/6 cable for a streamlined, efficient wiring configuration. The use of KVM Adapter Cables allows a mix of PCs, Macs, Sun computers, and serial devices to coexist on the installation. The KL1508AiN also offers enhanced features such as a Panel Array Mode, which displays the video output of up to 16 computers simultaneously, and a Message Board that enables logged-in users to communicate instantly, regardless of their location. The KL1508AiN supports up to 64 user accounts and allows up to 32 concurrent remote logins.
